Hey Barry, Thanks for your review of Idlewild. We have installed new baskets and tee signs and the course has been really cleaned up, if that was the reason for such a low review. Come back and play it again and see if the improvements will make a difference. Thanks again. Fred
Jeff, that is why we designed it that way. When you have a tournament in which it rains(it has happened a few times before) the creek rises to the edges it makes the entire creek out of bounds. So, if you play strict ob rules at every tournament then you would get a better idea of how much...

Going back home
So, I was born and raised in New Mexico but I have lived in the mid west(Cincinnati area) most of my adult life. It is a huge difference in topography, where we are used to carving out holes through the woods and the green grass at IAIA you throw over and around the bushy...

FYI, there are only a handful of us still trying to maintain this behemoth of a disc golf...
First of all I'm not questioning the rating by Tim. It is fair and based on his other course ratings Idlewild didn't do too badly.
I do want to clarify a couple of things so that someone reading his review will not be scared away because of the course condition/rough and other things about his...
Nick, sorry to hear about the thieves breaking into your truck. I am checking on outside cameras for the Nati pro shop. One for the front of the shop and one for the parking lot. I've wanted to get them for a while but haven't been able to afford them.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. We have never been pay for play but would make it happen if it meant the course would stay open. I would rather the course stay open than the shop. We(the GCFDA and The Nati and locals) will work together and try to put something together...
I do a neighborhood outing every year at Mt Airy in Cincinnati and have the neighbors play a best shot 4 man scramble. We only play 4 or 5 holes since it's more about socializing than disc golfing. I give a few tips(grip etc) before we start and just let them learn as they go. They seem to...
