I also forgot to mention that I downloaded a course map and had it with me when I played the course. If I hand't have done that, I think its safe to say there would have been an extra 1/2 hour or more of looking for holes. Each tee is marked with very nice signs, but the course is not all that...
Doh!
Hindsight is 20-20. It may not have worked out anyway though, depending on the store hours. I didn't get to my hotel until about 9:00pm and had to play at first light to get the round in on time and still make it to my site visit on time. Dick's was basically right across the road...
The course was awesome!
Its comparable to the Highbridge courses, but its better groomed. At Idlewild, at least this time of year, even the off course areas (the rough?) are relatively open so its pretty easy to find stray shots. At Highbridge, the woods are very thick, and if you end up off...
I'll be there Monday night, but not until like 9:00. I don't know if this is going to work for me or not. Once daylight savings kicks in, sunrise isn't till almost 8:00, so I have 3 hours basically to play and get to where I need to go.
I am going to check into renting a car, can't trust any...
cool, thanks guys. I may skip the letter holes depending on how the timing works out.
Problem #2, I won't have a rental car as I am being picked up for the business that I have in town. Being right next to the airport, I assume there is a cab company in the area that I can call? The course...
i am going to be in the area Monday night on business, but I don't have to leave the hotel to be on site until 11:00AM on Tuesday. I was thinking of going out early on Tuesday morning. The course is pretty long. Anybody know the average time to play a round? Am I looking at two or three...
Ya, I just need to practice more with the right steps. I think before I was turning my hips / body (or at least starting the turn) by stepping the wrong way, so now it's hard for me to get the turn in there with the right timing and I think on a lot of throws I am not turning and strong-arming...
Thanks so much, that is exactly the type of thing I was looking for. I have watched the Beato video a bunch of times, but its hard to know what you are doing wrong and right, without actually looking at it and having someone point out the problems.
Seams like that front foot and leg placement...
I am actually not that young anymore - 36 to be exact, and blessed with being athletic isn't exactly how I'd put it. I have to work relatively hard to stay in the shape I am in, more as I get older.
And I know, I know, I need to quit smoking. Easier said than done unfortunately. I am down to...
here you go guys. Below is the link to a video showcasing my form (or lack thereof, LOL!)
Just watching myself, I would say that I need to get my shoulders turned back more on my reach back, but other than that, who knows.
You guys are the experts, let me have it...
