Review by jjr007 in course NEDGC - Spoonwood Ridge

3.00 star(s) Work in progress. Not too much undergrowth to lose your disc, mostly clear lines. As with any new course, refinement is needed for tee boxes, signage, fairway trimming. Navigating the course is still an issue that could be easily solved, by using a sharpy to put hole numbers on all the arrow...

Review by jjr007 in course Whitebrook School Pocket DGC

3.00 star(s) Nice practice course. mixture of tight and open fairways, hyzer and anhyzer. Great baskets, and basket locations. This is a good place to practice, if you live in the area. Short of course as it is only four holes, though there is a trail going by hole 2 from the north, that could be used for...

The Blue Heron dgc Northampton, Ma 01060

I have an 18 hole course I made on my property. I am looking for people who want to try it out, and give me some feedback. It is private, by invitation course. Pictures here --> on my flickr account. https://www.flickr.com/photos/27791224@N04/sets/72157649605010727/ some of the pictures...

    Best mobile basket out there?

I like my traveler, so quick to set up and take down. The width of the chains is narrower than standard baskets, so you need to be a little more accurate with your direction, but the basket underneath catches discs very well, get little to no bounce outs, once the disc is in there.

    Flak4 Bag Millennium Hyzerbomb

I wish I had ordered the black or the camo now, Clearwater had them in stock, but I figured they would be harder to see in the woods, if you set it down somewhere, when you are searching for a disc in the woods.

    Flak4 Bag Millennium Hyzerbomb

Do you know where the supplier is located, mine is supposed to be drop shipped from there, and still has not arrived, after 20 days?

    Flak 4, X or Ranger

Anybody know if Millenium is still having a stocking issue with the flak 4? I ordered one from Clearwater disc golf on the second of this month, they did not have the green and gray one in stock so they drop shipped me one, and I still have not received it. I have bought stuff on ebay from...

Review by jjr007 in course Orchard Hill DGC

3.50 star(s) Work in progress Nice new baskets, interesting layout. Thorny brush lining a fair amount of the holes. They need to remove the barbed wire topped double fences along the left side of hole four. I got trapped between the fences, and had the dickens of a time getting to my disc. Lack of decent...

    Homemade DiscCatcher Gallery

Mine part 2 Top of my basket showing how the wire for chains is twisted. My earlier design had a single hole with ends of aluminum wire bent over, but they kept working loose, and didn't have the give for shock absorption that the newest design has. Second try used cable ties, but the chain...

    Homemade DiscCatcher Gallery

Mine I watched a few videos on youtube, and came up with this conglomeration of ideas. plastic coated aluminum wire from Lowes first hole, second basket built drove 2 foot length of heavy galvanized pipe in ground, put approx. five foot 1 inch (inside diameter) conduit into ground pipe, slid...

    Pyramids hours?

Wondering, as Marshall street hours are 9 to 5, but the course is said to be open daylight hours. I have heard that they have banned some people for not paying to play, and you have to sign in at the store, so what is the story. I was hoping to play a quick 18 this Saturday or Sunday with my...

Review by jjr007 in course The Highlands of Conway

4.00 star(s) Worth the trip. Cooler in the summer than many courses, because of the woods, and elevation. Fun course heavily wooded, but open, well defined lanes through the trees on most of the holes. Very interesting layout. The big sycamore with the carved basket on it, and the huge well burled...
