In Kansas I would say Thomas Park in Salina is a good place to stop on I-70, if you continue east from there, Perry (longview) is awesome and has camping nearby... Then in Kansas City you'll get all sorts of different opinions but only 30 minutes or so north of the City is the Smithville Lake...

I usually throw a BIG hyzer with a destroyer for the long. It'll usually trickle through the last tree on the right or hit and and sit under it for an easy 3 or a look at 2.
Its not usually short but it's an easy hyzer with a firebird or teebird in the shorter placement.

I threw a somewhat beat star Destroyer the handful I times I played here... Worked out pretty well. Either deuce or tap in 3 if it goes long. This was a really fun, pleasant course. Very clean and good hole variety.

I think North Ga. Canopy Tours was a pretty good one.
Also Jim Warner Memorial at the IDGC...all 3 of the courses there did a pretty good job but Warner challenged me more mentally and took some time to figure out how to play it well.
