You should give a PDGA tourney a try too. Those Bertrand tournaments are fun in their own right, but it feels good to get paid out (in plastic) for playing well. Hopefully the Michiana club is pulling off a PDGA event soon...

That is pretty remarkable. I've played that course hundreds of times and never even hit that power line. By your use of the TL I take it the basket is in the shorter position again. Good.

But really, just go to Notre Dame. Get in on the ground floor of a growing club. Or you could go to Purdue and dominate all the regional competitions and host incredible tournaments. But where's the fun in that?

If any of the competing schools have discs, shirts or other merchandise be sure to bring it. Notre Dame will be bringing some Innova discs with the ND monogram on it. We got a nice looking Penn State disc from the guys at nationals last year but it would be great to see some other schools'...

Nice work Dave. I wish I was going to be in town this Summer. I'll be missing a lot of good golf. I will especially miss the Three Rivers tournament and any South Bend events. Oh well, save some tourneys for me in September.

Notre Dame will be there. We're looking to quickly grow our new club and this is an incredible way to prove viability and increase our program's visibility. I'm also looking forward to meeting the rest of you. Hopefully we can create some bigger collegiate tournaments in our region next year.

I meant that I'm familiar with those scenes and they generally push PDGA sanctioned events. I was asking if there is someplace where you aren't expected to join up when you start getting better.

Are there any regions where local tournaments hold more pull than PDGA sanctioning? I only know about Kansas City and northern Indiana.

Everybody supports the sport, if your definition is just to play once a week. What do you do to "support the sport locally"? Are there legitimate tournaments that you could play in your area or do you not get the opportunity? I understand that you can play well on your own but does the...
