This was my thought process 4 years ago when I went mostly Discraft because they were cheap and easy to find at the time....

I found JB Challengers a few months after I started playing and haven't looked back for 4 years. Inside the circle, almost anything not named a stego will work pretty well in normal conditions. I've seen many people try a new putter, have one good round and then decide to switch and ultimately...
I have a moderately domey one and it flies a bit more stable than the domey Big Z Thrasher I used to have. If you have the inkling of a headwind it'll flip on a heartbeat, but for tailwind or clam conditions I'm getting close to my max distance with less effort. You can get some nasty hyzer-flip...
I would happily buy a stack of Pro D wasps, they'd start out more stable than the DX Rocs I throw now so the faster cycling wouldn't bother me

It depends on the plastic and what Thunderbird you're comparing it too. Z and ESP will probably be less stable than a fresh Champ or Star, especially since the new champ ones supposedly are pretty beef. Big Z are the most stable and are probably 1:1 to a fresh Thunderbird. The exception would be...
For those who have thrown the Trace, how does the Proton compare to Neutron/Plasma? Right now I've got a * Wraith for headwind drives with a Plasma and beat-in Neutron for my other drivers. If Proton molds up more stable, I'd like to consolidate down to 1 mold
My experience has been that a fresh Z Wasp starts a little more stable than the Roc does, even the Champ Roc3s. If you want something for that straight to reliable fade or for flex shots, I'd go with a ZWasp just because it keeps the stability longer. Which ironically is why I throw mainly Rocs...
Agree on the teebird. Other possibilities would be an Undertaker or a lighter Vulture if you want something closer to a PD's speed.

I don't think it's so much that people don't want to buy them, but that a lot special runs aren't worth the premium. The ESp Ledgestone Waps sold out super quick because the markup above comparable discs wasn't extravagant. The CT Jawbreaker has not because it's not worth paying $20 for 1 disc...
This was my experience too. Mine came down on an angle onto a brick or cinder block and took a good 1" gouge out the rim and bent it pretty good. The plus was that it was laser straight after that but not what I wanted after paying near $23 for it
