Is no one seeing the "top courses in each state" drop down box on the "top courses" tab? What a great feature! Not sure if it's new but I didn't notice it until recently.

Florida Elevation
Sunset Ridge surprised me. When I arrived, the property looked kind of uninspiring. After I played the first hole I thought I was in for a disappointing experience. Then, I got caught up in the fun!
The course could have been repetitive and boring if not for the designer...

A Solid Second Fiddle
Lincoln Park North tends to play second fiddle to the South course, but it's a solid layout in its own right. It's in a pretty setting featuring an elevated view of the lagoon and fountain. The design makes excellent use of the terrain in areas of the park that were...

A Little Slice of Florida Paradise
Maximo park is a gorgeous setting for disc golf. The course design makes excellent use of the terrain. I've played other Florida courses that got repetitive because every hole is carved from the jungle. At Maximo, there's an even balance of jungle holes and...

Great Addition to Area Course Lineup
I've never had so much fun at a 9 hole course! No doubt that a big reason for the high fun factor is that you can rent an electric cart. Playing faster plus conserving your energy equals more rounds played. We played four times with a nice lunch at the on...

A magical world
Walking into the woods and up to the first tee at Camden 2 is a magical moment. As you peer down into the ravine you realize you are in a different sort of place - a special environment crafted just for disc golfers. One can almost imagine a tribe of gnomes fashioning this...

Lagoon Adventure
This was my "home course" during February. Since I couldn't have played this much in the winter back in Illinois, Sunset gets praise from me for just being in Florida. The setting is half-beautiful, with holes 2-10 looping around a lagoon. This had the feel of a jungle...
This is now #7 (map is accurate) and the short tee is shown. Short basket position is to the right of where the tee pad points, down the lower alley to the sunny bare spot. The right side of the hole slopes down to a road. There is a longer basket position up the higher lane to the left.
Here's one I haven't heard mentioned or seen in anyone's bag but mine. Backbone. It's not a "straight at the basket" type mid for me, but if you need a "bend and skip" approach, Backbone does the trick.
Speaking of definitions, how do most of you define "ace?" I always wonder when I hear other players talking about their high ace counts. I have only put one shot in off the tee, but it was a "practice shot" after I threw my real drive, so I don't count it. Is that the way everyone else sees...

UIS now has 18 holes
UIS now has 18 holes! The new 9 add some length and challenge to the campus course, giving Springfield its fourth 18 hole course and one that is quite different from the other three. While the beauty of mature oaks won't be found here, it's a pretty setting among pines and...
