Welcome to Fla. When you get settled in check out the Fabulous Florida Tour websitte for a schedule of trnys throughout the state. There are 2 seperate listings. The first is for FFT points, they are sanctioned trnys in which you earn points throughout the year, at the end the top points...
With all due respect, I never saw in the youngster's original post where they "proclaimed" to go pro. I saw "hopfully" (which I assume means hopefully) twice, play in college for a championship, and get sponsored. The kid has a dream and a goal, what's wrong with that? The post never said I'm...
Don't know where this rates, but a few years ago in Sun. H-cap at Wickham Park in Melbourne Fla. my card approached t-pad for hole #10, our third hole for the round. We see a guy with what looks like two plastic bags down the fairway. The area he was in is the main landing area from the pad.We...
Practice is all well and good, but unless you are practicing proper technique it won't do much good to practice the wrong way for hours a day every day. I would suggest joining a local league in your area in order to learn from more experienced players. You'll learn better technique, multiple...
I loved the part near the end where it says, Alienation: "The person who made this course hates you." "The designer wants to see you suffer" great stuff which still has me laughing.
Played in a tropical storm one year in Rockledge Fl, 40 mph sustained winds with gusts topping 65 mph, and rainfall that would make taking a shower seem dry. Overstable didn't exist that day, and the only way to keep your discs dry was to leave them in the car.
You mentioned that the perception is a bunch of drunks and potheads. A perception that is all to familiar. I personally don't care if people enjoy a few beers, or even toke (yeah I know it's against the law) but if all people see is golfers pounding beers and smoking bowls in the wide open...
Hit Fore Palms in Jax. Send me a pm if you would like, I'm in the Daytona area would be happy to show you around Tuscawilla( if you hit on a weekend, work gets in the way during the week), and steer you away from the Hollyland course.Reed Canal (only 3-4 miles from Tuscawilla) in Daytona is ok...
Awesome thread!!! My wife has photoshop, but we really struggle trying to figure it out. This thread will motivate me now. Great work on all those pics everyone.
Sorry if this has been discussed in another thread, but I'm too tired and lazy to search it. Have injuries changed your game for the better? In my case I am 6'5" and have had 3 knee surgeries between both knees and will be having more in the future. What I have learned was to throw forehand at...
Wasn't on the course when the ball hit New Years, but went out New Year morning to play, managed 3 holes before mother nature sent me a sign to head home. Light rain when I arrived, turned to very heavy rain, turned to lightning crashing down. I hope it's not a sign of how 2010 is gonna go lol
Not vey often 815, since 2003 I personally have only witnessed 4 . There may be more, but 'm not sure about an exact number. I grew up in the 815 area code, what part are you from?
Haven't had anyone make fun of my golf bag, but did have some self proclaimed expert tell me I didn't need 15 discs in my bag. I explained that I have my main discs, and a back up disc for each one. While practicing I throw my mains and back ups. I get twice the practice and my back ups get...
