I am about as green as it gets, but I think it would be fun to participate in some kind of tourney. Do I just look for the lowest tier tourney possible to play? I have no ranking yet, so I am really not sure how to get started, but I am a new PDGA member.
Is there some sort of "dg tourneys...
My first ever disc was a Valkyrie, which (as of yesterday on summer hole #12) is fish food in the White River. The throw looked nice. Started out left and banked right through the trees towards the chains. It must have took a big skip because that was the last I saw of it. Sploosh. :(

Well, to be fair I am a total noob and the Groove did cost me 33% more so it MUST be fancy.

5) play for a month or so frustrated at lack of distance and...
Actually, I thought it was a helpful comment.
Mixing tees would upset my OCD, so until I get better I will play from shorts. Why? Because when I am ready to man up I will play from the long tees, not whatever shot benefits my scorecard the best.
It will give me a baseline of suck, too...
Thanks, yeah I figure I'll rest it for a week and try some light throws to see how it feels. I'm used to playing every day so I am going through withdrawals right now. lol
I strained my right tricep out on the course yesterday and today it is pretty sore.
It happened when I tried a backhanded over the shoulder roller which was pretty stupid since I've never practiced that move before. Anyway I felt the muscle twinge a little.
Have any of you ever done this...
Nothing but chain, mate. ;)
Thanks, guys. Yes, the quest for ace has begun. :) For now, though...more birds please.
Going back to play tonight with the wife. lol
