Review by mdeeter in course Rollin Ridge

1.00 star(s) Not a great course. There are very few pros for this course. The tee pads are large and concrete. The course seems like it's maintained often. This course is not good. The layout is confusing and the fairways are way too close to each other. I love wooded courses (NC disc golf is awesome!)...

Review by mdeeter in course Harmony Bends DGC

5.00 star(s) Definitely a top-5 course It's gorgeous and very well-kept. It can be played from long pads for a competitive round or from the shorts, for fun-casual players. It's a good course for all ranges of players. It's not in my home state :(

    Huk Labs Dye ?

Hot dipping doesn't remove the stamp. It's easy to put a hucklab design on a disc without affecting the stamp at all.

Review by mdeeter in course Dubuque Veterans Memorial Park

3.00 star(s) Some good and some bad Has some interesting technical holes And some well planned fairways. Many of the tee pads are terrible... Broken or falling down a hill. Some fairways come close to other fairways. Hard to navigate. It's a decent course but it has just a few too many issues to be rated...

    G* stamp removal?

Be aware that G-Star plastic bleeds incredibly horribly. I won't dye on G-Star after I noticed that the dye was blurred so badly that the image was unrecognizable after only about 6 months. After about a year, the dye bled all the way through the disc. In general, the gummier the plastic, the...

Review by mdeeter in course Wildcat Bluff

5.00 star(s) The best course in Iowa! This course has a ton of great holes and a beautiful layout. + It is well cared for and maintains its stature throughout the year. + The baskets are moved regularly and there are multiple pads on many of the holes. + The hole signage is gorgeous. + Well shaped...

Draining lard No matter how much hot water you use.... that lard will cool down at some point in the drain system.

    SkittleBomb technique thread

I'm not sure of the consistency of your mixture, but I'd be wary of putting hot lard down the drain. When that cools, I'm assuming it's gonna stick in your drain.

The Dye A Day Thread! (Part II)

Anyone here want to get in on an iDye Poly order? Getting 1 ounce for $2 seems pretty attractive. Much better than the $5 for 1/4 ounce you get from the store. Plus more colors.

    Fiebings Leather Dye

How long will it last? My only question is how long will it last. I've tried a few different dyes and some fade away really quickly compared to others.

    Dye stability

Parting Line Assuming you're using heat to dye your discs, you need to be careful not to get it too hot. If the disc heats up too much, it definitely will change hot it flies. In most cases the disc plastic relaxes and when it cools off, it tightens back up -- and it usually shifts the...

I'm getting ready to order a bulk order of iDye Poly. If you're interested, let me know. I have a spreadsheet started with three other guys buying in. Just let me know which colors you want and how much of each that you want. I'd like to split them into 2oz chunks. I'll share the spreadsheet...
