    "Sika Post Fix" expanding foam

Thx for replies. Just curiosity and special applications like cracks or treestumps. Have a ton of holes that are pretty far from the nearest road. Just carrying a backpack with a sleeve and a bag of this vs a wheel barrow with concrete bags and water is really appealing.

    "Sika Post Fix" expanding foam

Has anyone used this Sika Post Fix expanding foam for a basket receiver yet? Seems ok for a 4x4, but does it harden up enough for 2" pipe? youtube video It's $12 bucks a bag at home depot. I could definitely see it being helpful compared to concrete for those hike in locations, or weird...

    New "Free Optional Relief" clarification

Thanks Chuck. That was my understanding. Here's a better illustration for the optional relief rule 803.02D. Use as you wish. I'm make another two for Optional Relief with OB and with 2-Meter.

    New "Free Optional Relief" clarification

Maybe I was hasty... There is a sketch on this PDGA page but it doesn't illustrate the "free optional relief". This only shows the original OB marking rule... 806.02 D 2

    New "Free Optional Relief" clarification

That's exactly why I'm curious. One of our local courses has the short thick junipers. Also a few lake bank OB boundaries are steep and slippery. edit: But I can't find where this is actually allowed in the rules section.

    New "Free Optional Relief" clarification

On page 37 of the new 2018 Rule Book, there's a Minor Rule Changes summary. The fifth items is... I can't find the actual rule in Rules section. Does anyone know what numbered rule it is? It sounds like players can move back any distance along the line of play since they've already taken a...

Recreation symbol for park brochure, web, and sign

Is there a free-use recreation activity symbol for disc golf? This would be the type of symbol for park activity and facilities guide (like horse and rider for equestrian use). I searched and found couple so so quality images, but they weren't very clear. I saw a basket (maybe at Milo?) but it...

    Payout

Give me a lunch and beer after before more swag  Incoming rant... I've felt for a while that the disc industry is too heavily subsidized by AM tournaments. Swag has to be a huge portion of revenue to some companies. It can't last. Even when many player bags are overflowing with...

    Tree Planting and Course Design

Side warning if public course that parks depts can be pretty touchy about planting. All our items have to be run through approval with the biologist and planner. Easier to talk to them and get their suggestions first. We're hoping for a similar project soon and we work out a water use agreement...

Shared tee but separate fairways/baskets on a hole; yea or nay?

Correct and intentional, don't want backward play. All play goes in the same direction. Par 4: primary tee --> long basket Or 2x par 3: primary tee --> short basket +walk--> middle tee --> long basket

Shared tee but separate fairways/baskets on a hole; yea or nay?

Yes! Did it this year on 3 holes with a bonus. Used same pad to two baskets a few long holes... (plus an extra middle tee pad to make an entire extra hole to the long basket). It's super popular and people love the choice of picking a hole option themselves just because, or on a whim, or...

Pls don't add courses under construction

Lucky enough to get Craig's lead on the design. It's a little neighborhood 9-holer in a wedge of a regional park. I'm the builder (liason and parks approval pusher, pipe dream to reality conversion specialist, chief bean spender, #1 arrive-first leave-last shovel bringer, and exasperated forum...

Pls don't add courses under construction

This is not about keeping people off the course. This is not about volunteers or players finding and playing a course under construction. This IS about posting a course on this website and broadcasting that it is open for play. Have some respect for this site's rules. Have some respect for...

Pls don't add courses under construction

The top of the "Add Course" page says (in red no less)... Besides the course not being ready with things like tee pads, consider that there might be safety and environmental items that need to go in before players do. I'm kinda chapped because I have a promise to parks dept not to promote...
