It seems like the general idea here is to take it slow!
Sounds like a simple and effective plan to me!
Thanks for all the advice guys! I can't wait to get home and start playing again! A year without disc golf is pretty painful to be honest.
Sounds good guys! I'm mostly stressing about this cause there is a tournament about a month after I get home and I want to play it and do decent at least.
Plan of action here...
Do some towel drills before arriving home
Upon getting home some field practice at low power (focus on form and not...
That's a pretty good idea.. this last year disc has been like the last thing on my mind so most of what I used to know is gone. Like towel drills! Thanks for the idea!
Hello all,
I'm currently a deployed soldier who before I left had a love for disc like we all do.. I shall be returning home in a couple months and I used to have a fairly decent drive. Avg 350-400, my question is what are some things I can do to get my arm used to that kind of movement again...
R-pro boss? It may be a disc that works good for some people but unless you are throwing it into space that disc wont last more than a month if u play regularly.
Just to support the topic... Im in my second season playing got an bull@#$% ace last year with a birdie and today playing a round at a local course got an ace with.... (drum roll plz) Z Buzz!!! :D
So its been decided for me that im getting a buzz, today playing a round at the local disc golf course Calvary Park, i had borrowed my buddies z buzz for the round and came to hole 6 let da buzz rip... and nothing but CHAINS!!! Got my second ace today. :D So now im gunna have to buy that buzz...
LOL as posted earlier i dont really like the feel of an aviar in my hand for putting, like it for drives tho.. my 150 dont work for that tho.. i turn it over hard!!!!
Lol well i hope i at least got a snicker outta that :P
Okay, im gunna take ur choice :D do i want to go with a soft s wizard or no? From the top of my head all i can think of that is good about the soft is less chance of bounce outs.. but if im doing a hyzer like putt i dont see that being a...
Wow.. i cant believe i forgot to go look at joe's flight chart.. I here by apoloigize for any stupid comments i have made in this thread.
And as it stands i strattle putt within like 25-30 and do more of a fade outside of that due to the fact i dont have alot of snap or my putt form down so i...
I really could care less how many world champs have used what discs, i know that proves the ability for drivers and midrange, but if i can take a polecat or a birdie and drain a 60ft putt, whats it make a difference? Currently im just trying to find "MY" putter so thats why im looking to get a...
Yea. Fairway driver is on my list of things to get. I just know having good approach and putting is alot better than having a good drive.
IMO i prefer the buzz pretty much over any other mid i have thrown but im definataly going to look into getting a stalker, i havent throw one since last...
Just so I make sure im understanding ur saying that i should pretty much use the buzz as a straight driver/long approach and use banger/focus/ion for anything under that range?
Im fine learning another grip, what would u use with them as a drive? Like the one/two finger fan grip?
Thanks for all the advice! :D Heres what i'm thinking, Im gunna pick up a buzz (not sure on plastic) and then a soft banger gt and a focus? How is the ion for putting?
Yea.. buzz seems the way to go.. a few days ago i borrowed a buzz from a friend and some of my best approach shots ever. And i cant believe i forgot about the dart. I had one last season and loved it. Would u suggest a star one or stick with the pro?
In a short time here im planning on picking up a few new mid-range discs and probably a couple putters (multipurpose ones if possible)
Im I RHFH driver with a decent RHBH drive, and all my approach are backhand unless i need the hook of a forehand shot.
My bag is
175-Star Orc Primary driver...
