Disappointing
Set in an historic area so its worth coming to for things other than discing. Course map at the beginning and concrete pads are the other things you will like.
Very poorly layed out with several holes not using any of the scattered trees to make it more challenging. There is TONS...

In Progress
20 more holes of disc golf in the area! 2 loops of 10 holes each, set in a secluded pine plantation. Lots of different tee shots though the course does favor a RHBH. A surprising amount of wildlife for a pine plantation but that is due to the large amount of understory, a mix of...

I win!
About what you would expect for a course on an old ball course, lots of distance for the grip it and rip it crowd. Nice baskets and concrete pads. The course is fairly well laid out and does have tee signs. These are low to the ground so a little difficult to spot at times.
Next tee pad...

Course has been redone
This is now a full 18 holes, they have done a good job in adding some holes into some woods. There are tee pad signs for all holes except 8.
The new holes are still a little rough and the tee pads are natural. A couple of holes share a basket.
The first tee is at the...
Anyways, if you get a chance to check out Double Barrel (another DG course on a BG course) this summer, let me know how it plays which I'm sure it looks not so great if you hate 10,000 foot long BG courses.
I played Double Barrel on 01/07/23, it is pretty open like you would expect on a ball...
Heading to Gatliburg TN Memorial week for work, planning on discing my way there starting south of Indianapolis. I'm planning on trying to play courses in 5 new states IN, OH, KY, TN and NC.
I will be taking a discing trip Memorial Weekend, May 26-30 starting in southern Indiana and working my way towards Gatlinburg TN. I would love recommendations for courses to not miss or must avoid! lol I prefer courses out in the country to in towns and the nature/scenic aspect of a course is...

It has gotten better
A lot of work has gone into this course over the last 2 years which has definetly improved it. There are a few new tee pads and basket locations which has added some length to the course. Very easy to navigate.
Tee pads aren't great, and even with the improvements its too...

Worth Playing
Nice 9 hole course in the woods, not long but it will challenge your accuracy (which apparently isn't for everyone). Easy to navigate and not terribly rough. Hole 8 is a signature hole throwing down a sled hill.
Not a lot of distance and the tee pads are small.
This course makes a...

Not Ready
This course is in a nice little woods with the last few holes running long the river and it's very scenic. There are nice wooden sign posts and the baskets have next tee signs on them.
Most of the holes don't have the fairways completed yet and a lot of work needs to be done here to...
I just got doing that and I am 51. Played all of Mont du lac in one day plus the Quarry. Got 20 new MN courses in 5 days. Chains Edge is a great place to go to get 3 nice courses in one spot.

Better than the reviews
This is in a beautiful section of woods with a great view of the lake. Very quiet setting for being in town. This course won't challenge your distance but will challenge your accuracy. Most of the woods isn't too thick with little chance of losing a disc.
A few holes...

I win!
Nice little 9 hole course in a neat section of woods. There are tee signs and the navigation isn't too hard, for the most part you are following a 2 track.
After hole 4 you leave the 2 track and head off into the woods, we missed this turn since the directions were that the course...

At least 12 holes
There are at least 12 holes that can be played plus there are 3 baskets out in the open that can be thrown to. Nice setup to the holes and a neat view of the mine.
It is not marked at all. Through trial and error we did find at least a dozen holes to play.
Park by the dog...
Hey I'm planning a trip 4th of July weekend to Duluth and then to the north, any must play courses, any courses to avoid? Are Lutsen and Cascade worth driving over there to play since there doesn't seem to be any others on the lakeshore? Thanks for any insight!
I'm in the Stevens Point area so if you want to hit some courses in that area let me know. I would put Standing Rocks in my top 10 list (for me its way higher than Wilderness), Big Eau Pleine is a nice course too.
I live in central WI and can guide you on some of them, Standing Rocks, Yulga, Eagle Pines, North Woods, Big Eau Pleine etc. I also have a private course you can play, its a target course and a bit rough yet since I just started on it last year but your welcome to try it.
