[Axiom] Axiom Envy

How are the 165 gram Envies for driving? Do they still have enough beef? I am going with literally only 3 discs right now, and I was thinking about picking up a lighter soft Envy just to see if I could get a little more juice out of it on longer putts. But if it is going to be weaker off the tee then I am not sure it's worth snagging...

the 165 Soft Envy's are my putters. I've always liked the gummy soft feel for putters. I've thrown them off the tee a few times. For me, they show a little more turn if powered up and fade less for sure. Love them for flick approaches but they shine in the circle :)

I broke down and bought a soft neutron just for putting duties yesterday. I love my proton for driving and upshots but when putting its a tad too beefy and on short direct center chain hits it bounces off the chains and out too much.

I bought a 167 soft neutron and am in love. Perfect glide. Just a touch less stable when spin putting and best of all it absolutely sticks to chains. In the last few days I've made at least 4 putts that usually would have missed. On one I hit just 1 chain on the far right and the disc just dropped. The other 3 I hit the left side of the chains and made them anyways.

This soft neutron has a way of just collapsing when it hits chains into the basket. Very happy! Also thanks to this thread for recommending a lighter weight on these for the extra glide. I usually go max weight on putteres but the 167 is perfect. It was windy today and putting into a medium headwind(spin putt) was no problem.

Also if anyone is wondering you cannot wrap soft neutron plastic. You can roll it up it, bend it flight plate to flight plate and the disc will go back to normal. Give the football grip putt a try with your soft envys :D

IMO its one of the better blends on the market in terms of overall durability. My old soft N ions beads are still great and nothing about the disc is understable at all. still 0 HSS after tons of drives and putts. You wont need to cycle soft N plastic as a putter(hell my soft N driving ions are still the same ones too lol) -- I wont need replacements anytime soon.

LED+Proton Envy= Better than Eclipse :D I like the discs for high viability in the woods but as far as the glow goes well... whatevaaaaa'

latest HA vid

Here's the latest video I did for Hucking Aces. Its not Mike C quality and the sky gets in the way on a few shots, but does a good job (in my humble opinion) of showing off how a 167g Soft Envy flies.

yeah it's a REALLY short course. But those teepads are tiny any way you slice it. The worst is 18 because it faces hole 1's pin positions and is nowhere close to being in the direction of 18's pin.

Definitely a putter only type course.

Envy is the biggest surprise of the year for me. Got to play in the wind with it yesterday and it doesn't realize it's windy. Great throwing putter. If I had to play a one disc round it would be with an envy.

Agreed. I used to be in the Wzard camp as the best driving putter, but the envy is such a deadly weapon. I frequently opt to throw the envy when my buddies are throwing their mids. Great disc.

Me and my friends realized that I have the softest Envys out.

We compared a few different production Softs to a few Mike C stamped, and all of the Envys with my stamp are noticeably softer and more flexible. Tempted to switch to one as my putting putter.

If you are looking for the softest Envy out there let me know. I have some posted on my website linked in my sig, plus some others not listed, so if you are looking for a certain color let me know!

That's what I did. Put a 175 Soft Envy in my backpack for hitting up courses on the road, and mailed a 165 Soft Envy, Axis, seasoned Crave, Tesla & Inertia to Ohio to throw while I hung out there.

Been tossing my 165g Soft Neutron Envy a lot lately...I'm falling in love with this mold even more. The lighter weight gives a little more glide & float without losing any HSS. I can still throw forced annys, dead flat rips & sweeping hyzers with ease. I played several holes of putter vs. putter today against a buddy, his wiz vs. my envy. With the winds kicking up and several different elevations, the envy performed better on nearly every line. Such a killer mold. I think I'll be looking into a max weight softie to see now it compares to my max weight proton.

Just some envy porn
Pair of 165s, neutron and soft.
Neutron has some nice light swirly action going on. Don't know if it's common with neutron? My other neutron discs haven't come in post yet.

Nice!!
With the recent Neutron runs, it seems we are getting more swirls! I imagine they wanted to demonstrate full control while getting the technique down first and now that that is all down pat, they can have some fun. :D
