From the desk of Bob Monaghan, Supervisor of City of Lewisville's Parks & Recreation Services. " We will be doing a volunteer work day at the course Saturday, July 30th from 8 am to noon. We will be doing brush clearing and clean up. "

Please mark your calendars & come early Saturday July 30th to Lake Lewisville to help us rebuild Old Man Tom's Lake Park Course.
Who will come this Saturday, just 8AM to Noon? Bring your brush cutting gear.

We need to let the City of Lewisville know just how much we love our Lake Park disc golf course. We are disc golfers and We Are Legion.

On the facebook page they mentioned Steve Storrie & Brad ?... Here is the post from the page. Awesome to hear the news that it's getting back to playable soon!

We've learned from Steve Storrie that we , Disc golfers who love Lake Lewisville Park, will be cutting 4 new fairways to replace the 4 fairways (8,9,11 & 12) which were lost due to the dreaded hike & bike trail. Now, I realize it won't be the same Old Man Tom design,,, but we will still have an 18 hole DG course on Lake Lewisville. It will still be one on the top 25 courses in America for most wished to play and still will be your favorite course : IF you come and volunteer to cut under brush and clear the fairways. Bring your wood clearing tools , long pants & shirts, swim suit to jump in that beautiful lake & a good attitude. Thank Stevo & Brad for designing the new fairways. A few of us have volunteered weeks of work just getting this far & we need your help to cut & clean & lay concrete for the tee boxes. Pass this on to every disc golfer you know! Saturday July 30th @ 8AM Come show the city of Lewisville We disc golfers are Legion!

Any word on who is doing the re-design?

Dynamic Discs Carrollton for the re-design. The course flow will have to change, new holes will be added, current holes tweeked to make up for distance lost from hole 9 and 11 going away, and some of the current holes will be re-numbered. As many holes will be kept as possible.

Thanks Brad & Stevo & DD Carrolton

Brad, I'm coming to support you and Stevo! Everyone knows what great work you guys did at Trophy Club and we should appreciate your prep for Saturday. I can't wait to see what the design looks like!
