Any suggestions around London, Scotland, Ireland and Paris that are accessible by train, taxi or public transportation?

Bluebell Woods is only 20 minutes by train from Edinburgh, call anytime.

Thank you. If I end up in London this year for work, I am planning to go to St Andrews one weekend with some friends that plan to come over to play it and would love to play Bluebell Woods.

Probably a bit late..

But we're in Manchester and you can get the tram from Manchester Piccadilly (the railway station) and Longford Park is a short walk.

I'm a bit late to this party Filobedo!

Highly highly recommend you go and see Seamus at Reboot in Scotland, I still haven't got there but have heard nothing but great things about the course, Seamus knows his stuff as well, used to be part of the Vibram Open team and the course is his baby at Reboot

Lloyd Park in Croydon definitely needs to be played and is accessible by public transport, tram goes to about 200 yards from the first tee - hit them up here https://www.facebook.com/groups/161149440712718/ it's a much better experience played with local players (navigation can be tough without for a few holes and there are a lot of places to lose discs without locals knowledge) and if you get a chance to play with Rich Wood the chairman take it, he's a great guy.

You have to get yourself up to the Midlands though - an hours scenic train ride from London gets you to either Leamington Spa for Quarry Park or Coventry for Bedworth, these are two must play courses and are within 10 miles of each other, depending when/if you are coming we run a tour series around this area with events every month and some of these are at new or potential new courses, some of the venues so far have been stunning. Hit me up here or at [email protected] if you are coming and I can let you know what's on. If you get to the Midlands post a message on the facebook groups and someone will be likely to be around to either meet you or give a lift from train stations to the course - https://www.facebook.com/groups/619728151387482/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/quarryparkdiscgolf/

Manchester course at Longford Park is worth a trip as well, fun course and a great local club .

Also I believe you are a golfer, The Belfry Brabazon course is in our neck of the woods along with Forest of Arden, two world class golf courses. you can sometimes get some good deals to stay and play the Brabazon through www.golfbreaks.com or yourgolftravel.com normal green fees are £160 for a round on the Brabazon, I've had a deal there before for dinner bed and breakfast + 1 round on the Brabazon and 1 on the Derby course for about £170 (Derby is a fun course for a hungover round the next morning, the hotel is good and there is a really cheesy nightclub on the grounds which is worth hitting up if you're in a group and have already been drinking) you may need your handicap card to play (although i've never been asked to show it, just don't shank your first drive in front of the clubhouse!). Think it was 24 and under last time I checked.

Don't bother with the PGA National course at the Belfry - boring as hell inland links course - totally understand why they have it from a developing skills point of view, but if you're going to play Links golf St Andrews on the Royal St Georges in sandwich make much better sense!

whilst the Belfry is steeped in Ryder Cup History as a golf course/center I actually prefer the Warwickshire - absolute gem of a place with 3 courses - http://www.thewarwickshire.com/ and the added bonus the countries best disc golf center Quarry Park is only a mile away!
