How are they doing the really intricate dyes ?

It seems there are a lot of people mass producing intricate dyes these days, like Dynamic Discs, etc.

There is no way they are cutting vinyl and dipping discs in Rit, so what system are they using to roll out such intricate designs into discs ?
 
I love DD, but I hate the name Dyemax. It's not dye...

There is a small pro shop out my way that has a printer like DD's. They even buy a bunch of custom bottom stamped Innova discs for printing. I guess the printers are pretty expensive, but it sucks that the images wear off so quickly. Last time I was in there, I was getting a disc for a customer, to dye, and talked to the owner about it. He wasn't interested in dyeing and his comment was "those dyes fade though." Same guy that told my buddy "an Ace is really just a horrible drive"
