[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?" - Take II

At PIAS yesterday, I found a Roc. Now, I don't usually throw Rocs, but this one was only $1.99, so... Also it feels like either FR Pro or late run CE plastic. Not the Pro that beats up easily, but WAY to nice of a feel to be star. Not quite fingerprinty like my CE FB, but pretty buttery. And it's a puddle top bottom stamp max weight. Any ideas gurus?

I would bet that even though it feels amazing, that it is still DX plastic. Use a little dawn and get the pond funk off and you should have a fantastic thrower on your hand. Also, I don't remember exactly when innova quit using that bottom stamp and went to the guy with disc in hand roc bottom stamp but yours is the stamp between the current bottom stamp and the bar stamp bottom stamp for rocs. I'm going to ballpark 2012 as when I started seeing the new bottom stamp.

Definitely DX. I've had/seen plenty with that stamp.

It's obviously going to feel different after spending ages under the water.

Ok found a disc in a used bin bought it cause I liked how it felt and the color (candy red sparkle champion) to me the rim is identical to my wraith but on the bottom written where the mold initials are written is SRP it is an Innova disc but don't know what those initials stand for. Any ideas?

It is a Sparkle Quantum Scorpius from Millennium, their version of the Destroyer great disc!

Thanks, definitely a disc that will stay in my bag. Might even have to pick up an extra for backup. Threw it Wednesday a few times and stayed on whatever line I threw it at.

Origional Beast?

Origional beast or not?

So to start I have 2 champ beasts. They are both have are from the worlds biggest tourney" although they must be from different years.I have a link of a thread with a pic of the first beast, and I know the second one is a 2005. What is confusing me is that they seem to be kind of different. One has a little less dome, a larger diameter, and feels much gummier. My question is which of them is a real origional or pre barry beast. Is this when they changed the plastic from CE to champion?

Found places where pics are

First less domey, larger beast:

Are you sure that that first disc is a Beast? Looks like that disc has a thumb groove around the top off it and I didn't know that Beast ever had a thumb groove. I had (just traded off today) an old dx Beast and a Champion Beast that I bought new only a few months ago and they looked identical except for the plastic.

That groove is just an illusion, often old pearly plastic will have a dark ring on the top.

Take a look - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18409&highlight=pearly

Disregard my first post I pulled up some other pictures of old Beast and they sure enough look like they have a thumb groove but it may be an optical illusion.

Thinking that the first beast I was talking about was CE. IT is really gummy and just seems to "look" like some CE disc's that I have seen

So the 2005 worlds biggest would be the new run of them?

Anyone know the year the the other worlds biggest beast came out?

2005 was actually the final year for the old mold beasts. The WBDGW Beasts from 2005 are old mold. Anything post 2005 would be new mold.
