If you had your own disc company how would you name your discs?

Maeby - overstable putt and approach
George Michael - stable putt and approach

Annyong - Korean version of the Zone

George - overstable mid
Lucille - stable mid
Oscar - understable mid

Lucille 2 - domier version of Lucille with unique swirl stamp that helps create extra spin

Bob Loblaw - overstable fairway driver
Buster - longer Teebird
Barry Zuckerkorn - understable fairway driver

Gob - overstable distance driver
Michael - stable distance driver
Lindsay - understable distance driver

Tobias - overstable warp speed driver that is probably understable

Ann - ???????????

Her? Bravo to you sir

I would name them after occupations/characters:

Drivers:
Assassin
Knight
Outlaw
Astronaut
Crusader

Mid-Ranges:
Colonel
Ranger
Buccaneer

Putters:
Senator
Acrobat
King

Seriously though, this would be an awesome name lineup and stamp series.

I would say predatory cat names like Lion, Puma, Tiger, Bobcat, Lynx etc but then they would constantly get confused with Innova :wall:

I would probably do something like Prodigy does, if they hadn't done it first. My next option would be to name the discs after things that fly, like Kite, Eagle, Hornet, etc., or meteorological names, like Zephyr, Cyclone, Meteor, oh wait... :( Sooner or later somebody is going to end up biting the bullet and reusing a name that another brand has already used. :\

Vibram what?
Missed out on a huge business opportunity due to PR concerns from the bigger, more established and conservative company that runs it.

This wouldn't be the case with my 'disc company.'

Steve Dodge. True visionary.

I'd name all of mine after engine/automotive terms
Hemi
Windsor
Cleveland
Flathead
Powerstroke
........The list goes on.

I would name my discs anything that could cut a tree down or trim it up.

Drivers
Lumberjack
Chainsaw
Etc

Mids
Hedger
The lopper
Etc

Putters
Scissor
Clipper

My biggest competition would be aftc's botany themed discs.

Another one would be gun themed.

I would have an all x-rated line up filled with body parts, curse words and sexual positions. For example,
my beaded putter would be the "mother f*&^%$". And while you're on the course and you happen to use an obscenity while after putting you could just say that is what the name of the disc is that you threw (I threw that mother fu*&^% right at the chains and wouldn't you know, that mother fu*&^%$^ spit right out). I could go on but I don't want to get in any trouble with any of the admins.

This. That's the only problem with sticking to something as concise as mythological creatures. Innova already has the Valkyrie, Daedalus, Vulcan, Xcalibur, Atlas, and Orc and the stamp on the Beast is a Minotaur. They have taken stuff from a lot of ancient mythologies, but I am digging the idea of a company using only those types of names. I personally would love to throw an Ares or a Tartarus :p

Military ranks.

The longer the disc, the higher the rank:

putters:
Private, PFC, Corporal

mids:
Sergeant, Gunny, Specialist

drivers:
Lieutenant, Major, Colonel, General (4 stars for stability)

You could stick to only Greek, Egyptian, Atlantean mythology, etc. I'm sure there's enough names to have a good lineup of discs.

I want a unicorn disc. I've always wanted to curse at a unicorn or use an expletive in front of the word unicorn(ie; f' unicorns). The situation has oddly never been appropriate to cross this off of my bucket list.

"I just missed a putt. F unicorns." We need to make this quote possible.
