Is there ever any disc golf tournaments in Longview. i know there is an 18 hole course. I have a friend that lives there but if i am going to make the trip i would like to play in a tourney while i am there. let me know.

I don't think they ever hold tourney's in Longview because some of the best disc golf is 40 minutes west in Tyler. The 18 hole course in Longview is Guthrie Park. I'm not sure what your skill level is, but there's just not much to this course. It's okay for a round every now and then, but if your are driving up from Houston, there are 4 courses in Tyler well worth your time. I live in DFW and travel over there every month or so to play.

The Roc - nice elevation changes, clean, well manicured
U.T. Tyler - the back 9 is heavily wooded
Lindsey Park - Blue - a few long holes and some tight wooded holes too
Lindsey Pak - Gold - pure bad-ass, 400ft tunnel shots, will improve your game

thanks, yeah i will have to plan something over that way for saturday and then i can still see my buddy saturday night and sunday. I have heard alot of good things about Tyler disc golf.
