Finished for a pal in Norcal. Came out badass....if I may say so.
BTW: Don't tip 'im off if you know him...it's a soo-prize

wow must've been in the dye a long time to get the red to take on a black disc ;) :hfive:
 
Backlit photo...came out cleaner than I thought.

The only weird spots are the disc weight and a bubble in the flight plate.
Can't even see the bubble (lower-middle part of the "S") in the photo tho

Is the black the same shade and gloss as the rim? It's kinda hard to tell from photos.

The outer ring is less glossy...as far as shade goes, who knows?
They're both PLENTY black and the rim was partially in the dye bath.
 
Nice dye! Very crisp.

How long did it take in the dye to achieve that black that is so deep?

I had already died the top deeper red so I don't know if that has any effect on subsequent dye times? (does anyone know?)

It was around 10-15 minutes. I checked it a bunch of times for about 5 minutes, realized it was gonna take a while, then let it "stew" for 10 more minutes.
