Why encourage geezers to start playing for fame?? Who is gonna put in courses, run tournaments, run leagues, gather volunteers, head up work days and funnel discretionary income into the sport?

The savvy older players are out playing versus watching during their discretionary leisure time, which should be the main focus for a recreational sport. BTW, my girlfriend and I both played and cashed at Selinske but you probably wouldn't have wanted to watch us. ;-)

(Although the Finals in the drenching rain might have been a good watch for banana peel comedy.)
