Pittsburgh Road Trip

I'm curious. Did this trip already happen?

The itinerary looked pretty good. If it's hot and humid, Orange Crush and even Seth Burton can be downright exhausting. I haven't played Whipping Post but I can't imagine it being easier. Deer Lakes and Moraine are exhausting just because they're long with some (but less) ups and downs, but they're very manageable if you have time and are must plays. I still haven't played Knob myself, but I can't wait. The terrain around here makes for great disc golf. Hope you had (or will have?) lots of fun!

It did. Absolutely a terrific trip. The weather was brutal. Played Moraine, Deer Lakes, Seth Burton, Knob Hill. We ended up having to take a "pool day" in the middle of the trip to recover. We stayed at Seven Springs. Really a very nice ski/golf resort. A handful of restaurants/bars on site, allow us to park the car after a long day of driving and playing and walk to party. Place has a nice pool to boot, along with all kinds of crap to do. Played some fantastic courses, drank too much Oberon and lost a few pounds, as a bonus. Thanks for all the input here.

I noticed you liked Orange Crush a lot. (I'm not sure if it was a review or a forum post) That put it on my wish list and I finally got to play it on July 4th. It was exhausting but fun. My favorite was hole 10. I love those downhill tunnels.

The Paw Paw courses look pretty nice. How did you like them? Have you played the Wisp resort? I need to bag a Maryland course, and it's the closest to me by far. It looks expensive and probably not amazing, but I'll definitely get over there at some point!
Yeah, I was just at Orange Crush in April, 3rd time I've been there and it's amazing how much improved everything was and I thought it was epic before. Hole 10 has my number. The bad thing is that OC has been the last course I've played on my dg trips each time and have been physically beat up each time, but I still love it. That last trip was insane, 5 days, 10 long mountainous courses, almost 2000 miles driving, and 22 miles hiked.

Paw Paw is awesome, and I was just there again Memorial weekend. Wisp is one of the few in MD I have not played, heard it's bad unless early spring. Ditto Farms in MD is much closer to Paw Paw than Wisp, and I'm sure its better and free.
