[Question] The Inevitable "Your 2017 Bag" Thread

Rhynos - one for putting, some for approaching

VRocs - most mid shots

Gator - utility

Teebirds - fairway duty

Mids have been a mess while I've been looking to replace the Scout. I really like the Scout, but never loved it. I started with Innova molds to replace it and I'm down to one left. The Roc. While I like VRocs, I want something with more HSS. Anyway, it has been years since I've thrown a Roc, so I'm looking forward to testing it out.

All innova bag here:

3-DX Studs (putting)
1-Star Stud (thrower)
1-Star Colt (thrower)

1-Champ Mako3
2-Star/champ Roc3

1-champ Panther
2-star Eagle
2- star/sexton Firebird

1- G* Shryke
2- G* Colossus (go-to distance)
2- Star Destroyer

For 2017 I'm looking to remove the tern, mamba, and Valkyrie by adding a Shryke and possibly a leopard3. The former discs are typically only used once a round which I'm not a fan of. I'm going to try and focus on the shryke as my go-to forhand disc. Seems the disc is a good match for my current forehand speed which should extend my distance enough to reduce the need for those longer anhyzer shots.

I'm pretty much set with my bag and don't see any changes in 2017

The last few years have been fun in the disc experimenting department, but it's time to stop with all these new molds, it's become overwhelming and in reality, it has hurt my game more than helped. So in 2016, I traded/sold off half of my discs and I'm sticking with what I know and that is mostly Innova and Discraft with a few DD in the mix.

Only disc I'm looking for is a new/different throwing putter. Have a few coming in the mail next week so we'll see.

Wife got me a sweet black and copper grip AX15 for Christmas so finally kicking the old ember into backup duty.

The grip is a great looking bag.

My 2016 bag was simple, effective and almost all Neutron plastic:

Motion - Beef
Insanity - Flippy
Volts (2 or 3) - Control drives
Resistor - OS chip shots
Axis - Line shaping
Tangent - Gentle turns
Ion - Fading putter
Anodes (2) - Short game

In 2017, I am hoping for electron Anodes (!!!!) and plan to try out trespasses and outlaws for raw distance

Well, I have two bags, but one is in the works....so:

Octane
Wave

Motion
Wrath
Inertia

Volt
Servo (possibly getting kicked out by another Crave)
Crave
Signal

Tensor
Axis
Alias (possibly getting kicked out by another Axis)

Envy
Proxy
Swan (only non-gyro...waiting on that firm Electron Proxy!!)

It's a lot of molds, but most of them feel almost identical in the hand. Plus, who cares if it works, right? Thanks to MVP for being awesome!!

Honorable mentions:
DD Justice
Westside World
Photon
Prodiscus Jokeri
T3 and TL

2-3 wizards (soft and of $$$)
Zone
Cobras (king, old champ, DX)
Sexton FB
2 star teebirds
Leopard 3
2 destroyers
2 terns

Maybe a premium wiz or envy will go in.

3 dx aviars, 2 classic and one thrashed dx flip machine
Nova
P2
Some quantity of dx rocs
Sanny q sentinel
Star teebird
S and p FDs
1-2 sexton firebirds
2 scorpius, one q and one bottom stamp.

I'm pretty settled on this line up and have been for a while. Sometimes I throw in another disc or 2 for weather or ****s and giggles.

I might try starting a kc pro roc cycle, just for fun

The only thing I see myself changing up this year is possibly the distance drivers, maybe try the defender, or gladiator, or go back to destroyers if I can actually find a -1,3 version. I might decide in harp or zone instead of both.

Distance - Wraith Backhand, Giant FH, Nuke OS utility - may re-introduce Nuke for max D forehand, Outlaw challenging Wraith

Changes or possible changes for this year are in bold.

P&A:
Pa1 - Main putter. Been using 350g for a while but I may switch to a 300 series for most putts to see if they grab the chains better.
Pa4

Mids:
Zone
Buzzz
Comet

Fairway:
Firebird - Put back in the bag after a year absence. Don't use it every round but I feel better knowing it's there. It's the best insurance policy for my game.
Resistor
Servo

Distance:
Crush
Wraith
Viking - Just got a 175g Champion to compliment my Valkyries. It's flying like a mini Wraith right now. So far so good.
Valkyrie
Roadrunner

I just made the last change to my bag prior to 2016 ending. I throw mainly Innova with a splash of Discmania (I know they are pretty much the same). I went from throwing Verdicts and Claymores to MD3s and MDs.

Distance drivers:
5 Destroyers (1 champion glow, 2 star & 2 pro)

Fairway/Control drivers:
1 Firebird (champion)
3 Thunderbirds (1 champion glow, 1 star & 1 gstar)
2 Leopards (1 champion & 1 star)

Midrange:
2 Gators (1 flattop champion glow & 1 domey champion color glow)
2 MD3s (1 glow & 1 c-line)
1 MD (swirly s-line)

Putters:
1 BB Aviar (champion glow)
1 KC Aviar (thrower)
1 Nova
2 KC Aviars (putters)

I can play any course within my local area in any wind condition and I do not have to change out any discs. It helps as I can get used to all of my discs in my bag. I will start rotating in some new discs (same molds) on fun rounds, so they do not have to take so long to break in if I lose any of my bagged discs.

Putters-
PX1
nova

Fairways

Feel like bag is down to what I want just a little tweaking in the mids and fairways as see fit.
