Whats the best job for a Disc Golfer

I teach Physical education to kids with disabilities in the DC area.
TomJulio takes pictures of naked models, I think I would trade him any day.

do like i did and buy a house on a disc golf course so even if you have a job that keeps you late you should be able to get in some time on the course everyday....

All work no play. That job is death to playing disc golf.

True, but I can at least work on putting up to 40 feet when its slow or I'm bored.

It's true though, with the days getting shorter I have about an hour and a half of sunlight after I get off work.

Maybe all the unemployed disc golfers should go in together on an online store by being stock holders or something. :\

Self-Employed is where it's at. I'm a Freelance Video Technician/Video Switcher/Projectionist/Camera Operator within the Live Event Production sector. Some weeks I may only have one day off from work while other weeks I'm playing disc golf every day.

My job is the best! I'll give you 3 reasons. June, July, & August. Physical Education teacher.

The #1 reason I got into teaching was 3 months off in the summer. I usually am out of school by 345 pm so I can still get in some rounds in the evenings in the fall, until that daylight savings crap goes into effect. Come November though I'm busy after school coaching basketball and can only play on the weekends. Come March though I can resume my after school rounds because track practice is during the last hour of the school day. I usually only have 1 track meet a week so that is a plus as well when it starts to warm up. Just wished I would have started playing disc golf sooner, because my schedule has been this way for the last 11 years now.

I'm a warehouse worker for the #2 discount retailer in the US, and I work Sat/Sun/Monday overnights. Four day weekends, every week.

Of course, it limits the amount of tourneys you enter, but if needed, I can take a weekend off, and then I have 11 days off in a row, so, you know, more time to play.

A fellow track coach. :hfive:

Everyday I'm envious of the unemployed that can play all day long. I'm a facility manager and usually play a couple rounds at lunch and a couple after work. But...

With the shortened days and dog/cats and family to take care of sometimes I can't Play as much as I would like.

I hope that you're joking.

Sometimes when I am employed I miss being unemployed and playing lots of golf.

Sometimes when I am unemployed I miss being employed and making lots of money.

Haven't found that perfect medium yet.

I've got a friend who works at a carbide tool cutting factory. 7-3 every day. We play afternoons all the time and Saturday's are always free and clear. Good luck finding that exact job, but something similar!

I get to work at 7:30ish and I managed to arrange my schedule so I am out of work by 2:00ish on M,W,F
On Tuesday and Thursday I am on DGCR from 8:30-11:00 and I am done for the day at 12:30.

The one that gives you enough $$ you can retire at 30 and live out your days traveling the world playing courses everywhere.

I would have to say anything that ISNT 2nd shift. Im at work right now, all ill tell ya that my hours here suck as much as they can (2pm-1030pm) that and mixed with having a 2 year old, severely limits my playing time. So basically my dream job would be at this point, like i said, anything that isnt 2nd shift.

But yeah id love to just plain be self-employed

I love my Monday-Friday 2:30- 10:30 pm shift. Get up in the morning go play a round (I usually have the course to myself) Go home eat lunch shower and head off to work. The only thing I am missing is the local club thursday evening singles.

When I was traveling a lot to cover photo assignments. If it was a overnight stay like Virginia Tech football, or NASCAR in Martinsville I would bring a light disc bag to get some play in.

I'm a porn actor who loves stroking my pink beast by the day and having my pink beast stroked at night. Though sometimes I do have day films. Either way, I get a lot of practice on my money shots.

I tried the pushing my college degree around for over a year but still haven't gotten anything using it. Currently, I work for my family which is alright even though I hate the work (construction). The plus side is that I can usually get a day or two or a week off for travel for a tournament. Probably the only reason I'll get a week off to go to the USDGC this year.
