I've played quite a few of these, but a "Best Of" List that doesn't include Flyboy ?--- this thread should be terminated immediately.

Anyone in this video will agree with the above:

Wow! Great Video! Silk smooth throw by that fat dude at 1:48 ;)

I wonder if there was anyone missing from the credits for helping put together such an awesome weekend for everybody

:D:D:D

Yep

How many people have actually played enough of these courses to objectively decide? I'm worried it will just be a popularity contest, whatever courses get played the most will get the most votes.

Edit: For example, I've only played Maple Hill and Casitas. So it's really a poll of which of those two I think is the best. Some of the others may be better, but I have no way of rating them fairly.

FWIW, my number 1 isn't even on this list...

Yes,it is way too subjective to really pin down. Plus local people aren't really either honest, or experienced enough to judge.

I've played 6 and should get to Hawk Hallow this week. Will then try to get to Augusta and the IDGC this Winter. I am woefully unqualified to vote.

Ha! That video was awesome. We spread domination all throughout that weekend.

It's been few years since I played Patapsco and I was a different player at that time. Rockburn was a little odd the way it was built over a farm around fences and buildings and such. I thought both of those were good courses, but not being from the area, I need to be really motivated by something special to make a trip back to the same course. I liked Seneca enough to go back there a couple times when travelling to DC area for work. I like it better for a few reasons, I thought the long holes down along the creek were better than anything at either of the Rockburn or Patapsco. The fact that it is 27 holes in one location is a plus. Also I liked that it is secluded without other park users competing for the space. However I do recall the variety is not as great as it could be.

Hard to argue with that. I'll agree.

why isnt Flyboy on the list. seriously.

Because the list was a cut and past of the current top 25, and Flyboy is not in them due to the course being labeled extinct.

well, then this isnt the real top course poll. because the course is still there.

and its the best.

It's not the real top course poll, anyway.

It's the real most-popular of the top-25-highest-average-rated-subject-to-minimum-of-reviews of the listed-courses poll.

Flyboy
Poli Poli
Aspen Kiss the Sky temp course

also LOL Colorado mountain college Glenwood, the course that I learned how to play on is no where near the top 25 which makes me realize how stupid this rating system is.

Only played 2 of those listed (Idlewild & Holler) - Love playing both of them.

A few personal favorites of mine not listed:
Parma - Rochester, NY
Reedy Creek - Charlotte
Gordon Holton (Delaware) - Central OH
Banklick (now Lincoln Ridge) - Northern KY

Been wanting to play the Black Course in Moundsville, WV.

Wait. I saw Maple Hill has the most votes. Is that really an awesome course? Its the closest course to me but i had no idea it was that good.
