Random run fact - I found myself in an old thread on here when Tim first created trusted reviewers, and while Sir Valk was the first gold and diamond TR on DGCR, it was actually jaymon1 that was the first TR on the site way back when.
I would love to even have the old member list from the old site back - it wasn't perfect by any means, but I think it's weird that a full list of members is not accessible.
As for the TR spreadsheet, Sisyphus has been great about keeping the Diamonds recognized on it. A new spreadsheet may or may not be a project being worked on, and if it was to be in progress, it'll take a minute but should hopefully both have all of the TRs on the site as well as updated stats related to the new version of the site. More to come
And a big thank you to @Mrs. wolfhaley for putting me over the top!
I'm honored to be in the company of the 53 Diamonds who came before me.
I think this misses a key point. The number of users has increased significantly, but the number of reviewers reaching Diamond status each year hasn't gone up, so the percentage of Diamond reviewers is going down. That would tend to indicate that it is more difficult to attain Diamond now. There are a lot of other factors, however.I find it interesting that the pace of people reaching Diamond hasn't changed that much over the years. For no good reason, I thought there was a flood of them early on (the "old days of DGCR") followed by a slow trickle.
But it turns out that it's been a pretty steady ~3 a year, give or take. With a max of 6 a few times.
I still think it's the case that the number of reviews needed has grown, and the impact of "regular voters" has increased the number of votes received by the time you get the 250 uniques. But even with those changes, the elevation to Diamond has stayed pretty steady - just around 3 a year.
I wanted to come to the conclusion and whine that "it's harder now", but this suggests that it's never been all that easy.

Has the number of active users increased much?I think this misses a key point. Now, obviously I'm not saying that one person's experiences are "better" than someone else's. Full stop on that, I hope that's 100% clear.Scroll down for part 2.
There are a lot of other factors to consider. How old are the reviews? How long did said reviews remain on the first page of the site? How many other reviews for each course has been written since then? Were the reviews written for courses in high vs low traffic areas?I think it's definitely harder now, and it's clearly largely due to the number of active voting users (i.e. uniques).
I'm not one to bother complaining about it, but just for fun here's a blind resume comparison like they are fond of doing in the sports world.
User #1:
- 192 courses played
- 6 states/1 country played
- 1 course played in current DGCR top 10
- 188 reviews
- 2094 thumbs up/120 thumbs down
User #2:
- 224 courses played
- 22 states/2 countries played
- 4 courses played in current DGCR top 10
- 215 reviews
- 2224 thumbs up/19 thumbs down

The age of reviews definitely plays a role too, although that's really what I'm trying to say above. To add a little more data to back up your point, here are my own current stats:There are a lot of other factors to consider. How old are the reviews? How long did said reviews remain on the first page of the site? How many other reviews for each course has been written since then? Were the reviews written for courses in high vs low traffic areas?
