I am THEY

while on holiday, lost a disc in an overgrown course. so i went down to the local hardware store, got some gloves and a cane blade and cleaned up a course that had been neglected.
before (still made the putt), blackberry vines growing through the basket:

after:

funny thing, i didn't find my disc until i gave up and was about to drive away then decided to go back one last time to pee. wouldn't ya know it, there it was vertical next to the tree i was peeing on.:D

they mount the basket on an auger?

not sure. definitely homemade. has bike chain filling in the gaps of the basket, but still a disc can pass through. pretty sharp edges all around.

You done good by cleaning it up, but I can't help wonder if you weren't wasting your time. Maybe no one plays the course any more?

Or did you see other golfers or evidence of same?

I am THEY, again. Loving it. My 6 yr old son got me fired up about DG and Our Course, again. First 7 playable again, still need a little work. 8-14 working on, as soon as it stops raining. Lol
15 is playable

My brother-in-law came out and helped with his bobcat/mower attachment. Brought his 1 yr old. Gotta get THEY started early.

Darn you Brent, I was banking on that thick foliage to stop my disc from rolling away!

Another night, another tee at Bighorn Ridge...18 Long is back to being playable.(photo credit to my friend's IG account). The after pic doesn't even do it justice, she's a beaut.

Geez and I thought Michigan Tech University's 9er had some bad rubber pads...

I am they but that is only because some local players try to make a hole on the in town local course so open the harder tunnel shots are gone. I do not know who is doing this and I know who made the course I was there with the 2 main designers (I even made 2 holes on the course) and the 2 wanted such a tight gap in the one spot on the wooded hole or it does not make for any really hard holes on the course.

Re: hand tools in the woods... I mow the paths in my woods... Really hard to drive a mower through woods, but it does work... And the damn weedwackers keep breaking so...

At my local course THEY are the parks and rec maintenance city workers for the most part. I don't think we even have a local DGA really anymore which is crazy because we have one of the best courses in the state and the course is the location of an A Tier event every year.

I would be miffed if someone dogged my volunteer work. Rock on THEY!

^ That's a nice lookin' tee pad!
