I do. I want the industry to thrive and working for the sport's most forward-thinking manufacturer/retailer combo is my best chance at making it happen. Never stated this online -- my interest in DG's growth is 100% for its therapeutic potential for mental illness, drug abuse, and technology addiction. To get this legal soul medicine to the masses, we make 'em look sexy and easy to buy... the details are just details and I struggle with ignoring details.something tells me he cares about disc golf in a broader sense than most.
That was cool of the shop to call and ask -- I do a scramble every time trying to find out from Purchasing or other people when a particular disc is to be released. (it's nice when I'm super smashed, to hear that it's not out for 3 more days!)On the question of purchasing in a store before the street date: I don't know about the Amp because my local store didn't order a shipment for them (sucks). However, for the release of the Volt the shipment came in two days early and the owner of the store made a point of calling MVP and asking if they were allowed to sell them early. MVP said go for it.
ZAM, DGCenter was not selling the discs to ship a day early, therefor it was a pre-order and they didn't ship till the next day (Official Release). Other Sites like GGGT where selling them WAY before DGC was.. so whats the problem? There isn't one.
They Allowed Pre-Orders a few hours before midnight.
Im sorry your own little world was shattered.
Im going to write MVP about this to make sure its smoothed over and not blown out of proportion by your misinterpretation. They did everything right for all im concerned.
I back DGC's decision

How noob friendly is this disc, i.e. the 250-280 crowd?

Everybody on this site throws our putters that for and further, so how would we know how a driver flies at those jump putt distances?![]()
I'm finding, like other MVP discs, it requires a lot of snap to get up to speed. It can also be a little touchy on nose angles. I am in the same power range, and when I hit it right, it goes straight with a little fade and just feels great. When I don't hit it right, it flies more like a Teebird or Eagle. It isn't quite as effortless as I like an understable disc to be. I think the learning curve, for lower-powered players, is a little steeper than with a River. For me, it is flying like a Champ Valk. Good turn, but more fade than I want at this point.
No problem. I hope you love it!My Amp is on its way! Thanks Justin!
