Idk about the legitemacy (sp?) of Feldys insight on dominant eye stuff, but ive heard a lot about it in regard to hitting in baseball, it surprises me that you havent heard some of the same.

A few seasons ago Pujols had changed up his stance a bit and instead of being mostly sideways and looking at the pitcher with primarily just his left side, he adjusted his head and now faces his head directly at pitchers. For the reasons of his right eye being dominant.

That doesnt proove its legit science or that it works for everyone, just throwin it out there that it has been discussed in major sports. Id be willin to be Sports Science did a piece on it also, ill try and search for a link.

There are TONS of reasons Hitters change stances TONS. Plus Pujols is a Pull Hitter

yes 2 eyes does work better then one, which is a better way to see the ball, i have never heard of a baseball player only using one eye to see a baseball. but unless your playing darts or some small game like that. I just don't believe something like that will help a person putting. i see it as more of a excuse then a adjustment.

Same boat here. It seems difficult to do anyway, unless you can't turn your head. If a batter is making an effort to have their head not facing the pitcher it wouldn't surprise me if they had problems with pulling their head and taking their eye off the ball. Seems like a poor way to bat no matter what.

And thank you for the opportunity to caddy. Giddy about it already.

Paul I told my wizard and magic to take a hike.
Also it took way to long to get a beadless p/a mold in good plastic, thx!

You may be right, it could be BS. But, I dont think that its a situation where people are using one squinting eye (as a crude and obviously over simplified example) i think in the case of hitters, it helps them easier identify the rotation of the ball and determine what sort of pitch it will be, since one eye or the other is supposedly dominant. In a short glance over at google, this seems to be widely considered legit both in baseball coaching and in eye related medical fields.

I did read, a small % of people dont have a dominant eye, maybe thats you :) although i read several times the figure of 2/3 of the population is right eye dominant. Also your handedness, has no bearing on which eye is dominant. Like i said it likely can be a non issue for most, especially if you arent having any problems previously with your eyesight. It may not help you at all. But some people seem to think that it helps them, so idk. Im sure feldy-science can have a way of sounding ridiculous tho.

i'm pretty sure every shot i throw from my toes or ball of my foot, i'm one of a very very few that do. i always pivot if i have the room on every shot even putts

Do you have a harder time with slippery/natural tee pads? If so what do you do to compensate?
I've always toe pivoted as well. I tried to change to the heel pivot but its hard to change now. glad to hear that not all great players heel pivot. :)

I'm not sure if having just the dominant eye would help. Compare it to vision. For instance, both of my eyes individually have worse eyesight than when using both.

And Feldy-science, whether right or wrong, is entertaining.

Sorry if this has already been asked but I am curious which courses do you play when you are home in Florida? Do you mix it up? Where do you do field work if you do? Also, have you ever tried the practice putting area around basket 4 at Hammock Park in Dunedin? Thanks for taking the time to answer questions on this forum!

Paul---

Obviously Millenium and Innova don't have the same realtionship that Discmania and Innova have, but I'm wondering if, because there IS a connection, however tenuous, if you are allowed the throw Millenium in competition? I've never seen an Innova pro do so, so I can assume the answer is "no" but perhaps it's as simple as none of you really care for their discs.

If you could throw Millenium, what discs would you throw, if any?

Also (sorry for the double question) if you could bring back one extinct Innova mold, what would it be? My vote is for the Pegasus.

Team Innova can throw Discmania and Millennium. They are both molded by Innova.

So you're saying that a majority of pro DG'ers pivot on their heel? That doesn't even seem natural. I remember Dave and The Champ commenting in their Fundamentals video about staying on the balls of your feet. Seems natural to me. Heel pivot seems like you're asking for trouble.

Almost every pro rotates on their heel.

Your heel is more in line with your leg than the balls of your feet, it's a lot better for you knees.

I have heard that heel pivot is bad for your knees. Huh. Weird.
