Who ever did the lay out for this course, definitely put a lot of thought into it, and saw it to be a main attraction for the area for the creativity and variation that this course holds, makes it top of my favorites.
1. GREAT SIGNS (not too complex but they give a great discription) GREAT teepads also!
2. length wise is right in the middle
3. Difficulty is set to challenging, yet doable.
4. Strange use of obstacles
5. Several different shots, with different options for each hole. (makes you get creative)
6. beautiful walk through the woods of GA.
7. Spectacular use of landscape.
8. garbage cans and seating areas
9 hardly found any trash, and i was afraid to flick my cigarette butts on the ground it was so nice, so +5 for maintanace!

Regret will never even cross your mind if you give this course a try, you will be too busy thanking whoever influenced you to go, and wishing that you could be there every day to play it and figure out how to ace it all. It's definitely built for a more advanced player, but first timers can get a chance to compete on the shorter holes, and it will definitely give them an idea of what a real course is all about. So if your in Atlanta, don't forget to bring your discs with you and huck a few at this course, its a relaxing and exhilerating expereince.

Good mix of short and long holes. All holes have some woods, most holes have a lot of woods. Great opportunity to work on your short game and master the ability to get out of trouble.

A few holes have too many woods. Out of bound areas are tough to define at times.

This is one of my favorite courses in Metro Atlanta. It is a great course to work out the kinks in your game, except your long game.

Great layout and a beautiful course during the spring and summer times. Black tees are concrete and every hole has 3 different tee boxes for every level of player. Holds the Atlanta Open every year and is a great course for high level players looking to work on a variety of throws. Wood chips all along the fairways makes it easy to walk without getting muddy.Signs in perfect condition at every teebox and easy layout so you do not get lost

Very hard course for beginners. The Ivy can get to be a nuisance during the summer and many holes are potential disc eaters

East Roswell is a top-notch course that is probably the best kept in all of georgia. If you are travelling the country to play disc golf, East roswell should definately be on your destination list

Tests your non-power shots. Multiple tee's to chose from. Good elevation changes. In the middle of a suburb. Good description of the holes by the tee boxes.

Trees.. I understand having a difficult course but putting a tree right in front of a tee box? Sometimes fairwarys are only in your mind. They could have better signage towards the next hole.

A course to help you try your tight shots but seems almost like a novelty course.

This course is going test you to see how well you can shape lines.

Three tee pads per hole, which is great. Make it a great place for families to come and play together.

Favorite holes -
2 - Throwing over small stream/valley to basket.
4 - Signature hole, with old trailers. Just an obstacle that you don't see often. With the basket down behind trailers.
5 - Only open shot at ERP. But gives you a good shot at an ace run.
8 - Hole with sharp dog leg to the right, but it has a tunnel if you dare to try and get through. (I always try, but end up getting in trouble)
12 - Pinestraw pond OB. Short but again another Ace Run.
13 - Tunnel Shot - Basket is just staring at you!
15 - Blind Basket, behind hill. (My first birdie here!)

The other holes here are great but those listed here are my faves. Also a great course to play when busy with other Disc Golfers, seems to have the best flow of any other course in the area. Each hole is easy to navigate.

Kudzu!! -- this is really for the summers, and spring. Disc's can be a little harder to find. But not a reason to not come play this course. Fairways are clear and most trees should stop your disc before going to far!

This a a great course. Mulitple tee positions, and most pins are easy to see or find for each hole. I also like how this course has tees that are to the left, right and straight away. My favorite course so far!

All the people that complain about too many trees are right, there are lots of trees, However, that is obviously not a con or a reason to give this course one star. This is a heavily wooded course with small fairways and tight gaps. You need to be very accurate with your drives or your disc can end up in places you do not want to be throwing from. Once again this is a test of accuracy and skill, not a reason this course is not suitable for major tournaments. To the guy who said it is completely forehand dominant, there are plenty of righty backhand shots to throw AND you need to learn to throw flippy discs, as thats a part of playing in the woods. Have you ever played other tough woods courses?!?! Maybe you should just be throwing in the field instead of playing actual courses.

There are plenty of trash cans and benchs throughout the course and it is maintained reasonably well. This course will test every shot in your bag. In addition to the pro black teepads there are blue and red teepads for those of you who cannot handle the blacks. Lastly, hole 4, "the trailer hole" is one of the most unique holes you will play.

The course does have a couple fairways that are close to other holes as a result of limited space, but the roswell disc golf club did what they could with little space. In addition, the park is usually heavily crowded on weekends because there are not many suitable courses in the area (not really a con but can be if thats the only time you can play).

This is easily one of the best courses in atlanta and should be played if you are coming through town. It is unique and you will not find another wooded course like this in all of atlanta. This course allows you to learn shot selection and when to go for holes. Obviously if you go for every hole on this course you will find yourself in places you do not necessarily want to be, however, learn shot selection and scores in the 50s are easily attainable.

Great technical course that does not let you get away with "ripping" one without control. The big arms are disabled on this course as there are few holes to use it as an advantage. Skill and "touch" are required to score well here. Well marked and identified with great tee signs.

This course can get busy at times and because it's technical it can slow down easily. Playing earlier in the day is your best bet especially when the weather is nice.

the 3 hole corner of holes 2, 3, and 4, nice cement teepads although a little short

almost every hole is very lefty/sidearm(RH) dominant. Very heavily wooded with no fairways on some holes. I cant believe this was used for an NT.

Course is well separated from other park users, challenging terrain around some baskets and several drives require a high degree of precision and distance. Good location in a heavily populated metro suburb. Nice concrete pads on black tees (Blues are a little beat up but that is to be expected given the amount of use). Excellent application of elevation changes throughout the course.

Ridiculously wooded. Your discs will hate you for playing there (Ouch! - that tree hurts!). The course is so heavily treed that about half the holes don't allow much creativity or variety of shots.
Can be very frustrating on a bad day - hit trees, look for discs

ERP takes time to get used to and is not beginner friendly. This would be a good course to include in a multi-day tour of courses as the heavily wooded course.

For people who have been frustrated at ERP, try playing in the Fall & winter when the leaves are down.

Lots of different tee and approach shots necessary, quiet wooded area, several really fun holes.

Lots of trees.

While there are a ton of trees and some really tight fairways, I feel the course is fair in terms of difficulty.
Once you play the course a couple times you figure out the holes where its worth laying up over the alternative of trying to bomb one off the tee and take the risk of ending up in the woods. There are still several holes where you can easily allow yourself a birdie opportunity.

This is a very nice course. The signs and maps of each hole are very helpful. You can even print out a nice little "caddie book" to carry with you. Multiple tee boxes were very nice for my wife and I to play together. The back tees weren't rediculously long either. Several birdie opportunities out there. The lay out is nice and not at all confusing with arrows and maps to show you where you're headed. Good variation of holes. Left and right, long and short, with a few par 4's.

That's a lot of trees. I'm a decent player but I'm no pro, so take that into consideration. I felt like there were just too many trees in the middle of the fairway on this course. The first par 4 literally had no second fairway to access the basket. I'm my opinion it was just blind luck. We threw so many great shots that maneuvered around 3 or 4 trees but still caught another down the road. They could easily remove a tree or two and not hurt anything. If you're new to disc golf and play this first, you might not play again. I'm sure the pros can handle this but I think this course brings luck into play a little too much.

We played 36 holes out there so we did like the course a lot, but all in all just too many trees. It is possible that in a year I might appreciate it more, but for the non-pro or non-high level players, I'd advise on playing somewhere else. Definately a great course to play but it is frustrating as well. The other facets of the course are so good that it is still a 3.5 for me though

It's good for improving your finesse and technique. I've become a bigger fan of the course and have really been able to improve my game by playing here.

It can get pretty busy but you can start on 10 pretty easily to avoid the crowds and the lines. 9 and 18 end up in pretty much the same area.

I reviewed this a couple of years ago and I was not too pleased with the trees. I've now edited my review of this course because, like the trees there, it's grown on me a bit. I enjoy playing here now and I find it much more challenging than some other places around ATL. It is up there as one of my preferred places to have a round or two.

This course is situated in a scenic and secluded wooded area in the back of the park. The holes make good use of the trees and elevation in the park which in turn places a premium on your ability to throw a variety of shots. If you like technical courses this is probably your best bet in Atlanta, while the fairways are tight I would not call any of them unfair.

As others have mentioned hole 4 really is the standout hole. The trailers provide a unique challenge because you will be in a world of trouble if you end up between them or under them. Additionally the hole is nice and long but still requires you to hit a couple of gaps as you meander down the fairway.

I really appreciate the fact that there are 3 teepads on each hole. The reds are great for beginners or people looking to get in a quick round. The blues are a good step up in difficulty(both longer and more challenging shots). Finally the black tees will still provide a challenge to even the most experienced of player.

There are nice concrete tees and tee signs unfortunately they are only for the black tees. Additionally the holes seem to flow together in most places to make for easy navigation. I also really like that both the front nine and back nine begin and end at same place. This makes it easy to just play nine or to use the restroom midround.

During the spring and summer Kudzu can become a major problem on holes 3 and 4. I often find myself throwing very conservatively to avoid a lost disc.

Some of the holes run too close to each other and can cause problems with an errant tee shot. Hole 17 stands out to me in this regard since you can end up on several different holes with a bad shot.

The navigation is a bit unclear in between holes 8 and 9. I have seen quite a few people end up on hole 16 instead of 9.

The next is only a con for some people:
*LOTS OF TREES

I love all the trees however I have a friend who just likes to air the disc out and he hates this course with a passion. So be forewarned that this course is not for you if you like wide open courses.

One of the most satisfying courses in Atlanta. I don't ever get sick of playing this course and find that it is great in the summer due to all of the shade. This course really helped to improve my game by requiring me to learn how to control my disc and learn a variety of shots.

Nice layout with multiple tee pads, although not all are concrete.

Tight wooded course with some (2-3?) holes that you will able to open it up on. Other than that it is a tough technical course! I was 2 over after 15 and ended up 10 over on one round. This course makes you use all of your shots.

The trailer hole is great! I got caught behind them and "had to" make a hammer throw over them to land at the basket. too much fun!!

There are tough 2nd shots but only a few places to get into real trouble. (I played in Dec, foliage may differ in summer)

Multiple tee pads only add to the pleasure.

A little straight. Take a comet,shark or impact with you. Two holes are a little ridiculous and you will need a deities help to get to the pin.

Bring your "A" game and be willing to be humbled, but it is a wonderful course and worth driving a ways to play. Mix it with JP mosely and you have a great combo. Too bad they are not closer together.

In a secluded wooded area of the park that twists and turns with lots of elevation changes along the way. You really feel like you are in a different world when you are playing this course. Three tee pads on every hole: the longs are concrete while the shorts and mediums are gravel/dirt. Some of the best tee signs I have seen: each sign includes a description of the hole, an accurate diagram, and distances for all three tee pads. This course has a completely different feel during autumn/winter when the leaves are gone when compared to the spring/summer.

While most of the fairways are well defined and have ample width, some are just nutty with how many trees you have to get past (think pinball machine). A few holes seem to be of the "throw & pray" variety. There are lots of nooks and crannies where stray discs like to hide. There are a handful of blind holes that require you to walk the fairway to locate the basket if you are not already familiar with its placement.

The combination of long holes and lots of trees means this is definitely not a course for beginners if you are looking to score. Although I have registered more birdies here than anywhere else, I also often find myself playing my second shot within 10-15 steps of the tee pad--argh! You must be accurate off the tee pad at this course or your score will skyrocket. With that said, this course provides a really cool playing experience as you wind your way through the woods and up and down all of the elevation changes (some quite steep). The "trailer hole" is definitely the signature hole--you will either hate it or love it. So far, this course has gotten the better of me every time, but the playing experience keeps me coming back regularly. If you are up for a challenge, East Roswell Park is the place for you.

A pretty walk in a mixed evergreen and deciduous forest, with a nice mix of right and left turning holes, and a few straight pokes. There's some gentle elevation changes that are used pretty effectively. The fairways are snug without being tight, just about perfect for my tastes. I even enjoyed the hole with the 'retired' truck trailer farm, they definitely provide a unique risk/reward proposition (I wouldn't want to try to retrieve my disc from on top of one so I chickened out).

I had a little trouble finding my way on the front but finally noticed some next tee signs on the back 9. When I went back by some of the holes from the front I noticed them there too so you just have to be on the lookout for them. The course is well cleared so I didn't have any trouble finding discs that took an unfortunate kick off trees. The layout seemd to use most of the available property but the holes didn't seem jammed on top of one another so I guess I'd say the spacing was good.

I'm partial to woods courses so there isn't a whole lot that I'd change. If they had a few more acres to stretch out some holes more and more drastic elevation changes it would be close to perfect but the designers can't do much about that.

I stopped in on my way to the airport before heading home and was in a bit of a hurry, so I played the short tees. I noticed two other sets of tees, and paid particular attention to the black tees as I was walking by, they looked challenging and are the reason I gave this course an excellent instead of very good. When I get back down there that will be the first course I hit and I'm playing the longs. I was there the week after the course hosted the Atlanta Open and the course was immaculately groomed, that's a sign of a strong local club.

Good challenge of holes! I enjoyed the brisk walk and for the most part it was easy to get from hole to hole. There were plenty of birdie chances and some ace chances other than a tree or five hundred in your way

None as far as I can see. If I had one it would be trees galore! Guess that's what you have to deal with. No #18 basket. Someone needs to get on that repair.

Loved the three teepads at each hole. I played the reds though. I needed to see the basket for my first couple times playing. I would go to the blues next time probably. Overall I say this is for sure a course to play if you are in the area.

It's a very challenging course. You won't get bored with it (unless you live 2 min. away and play it as much as I do). The three tees give it a little diversity. Some holes are pretty difficult but they still have birdie opportunities.

the new signs are very helpful for new players, but for the most part, you can see the holes.

It's well kept, and an overall nice course.

Very wooded. Usually that's a good thing, but some holes, (18, 16, 14, 9) just seem unnecessary.

The kudzu korner makes it very easy to lose a disc (3-5).

East Roswell is the course that made me cry! I have played a number of courses in the area and have found that my game for the most part was up to the challenge. East Roswell on the other hand kicked my backside. You have to be on top of your game and have more than a single shot in your bag to score well here.

While each hole has multiple pad positions, the black tees are the only concrete pads at the moment. These are of a fair length and width and are in great shape. The other pads are natural but did not cause any issues when playing on them when dry. I can assume due to the wear that they might be slippery when wet.

The signature hole (if you want to call it that) is hole #4. This is the infamous trailer hole. While others might complain about this, this hole was actually quite enjoyable and added a significant risk/reward shot. You have a choice of to lay up short of the trailers or making the risk shot of shooting over them. It did make for quite a brain teaser when I stepped on the pad.

There are a number of holes that require a choice from the player to decide to lay-up or take the risk shot. To score well here, you must take some risks.

- Defined bathroom facilities do not exist on the course. Fortunately, there are plenty of woods to do your business. [edit - I should of stated that bathrooms are available at the pavillion where the course starts. The day I was there it was locked]
-Garbage cans do not exist on the course, but it appears that the locals take good care of the course and I saw no garbage on the coruse. [edit - a private message has informed me that cans do exist on holes 2, 4, 7, 9, 14, 15, and 18]
-The course was a little difficult for me to navigate and it took some time to find the next pad. Fortunately the locals are more than willing to point you to the next pad
- Losing a disc is quite easy if you do not have a spotter on some holes. The shule is thick and deep in places.

Prior to playing this course for the first time I thought I was an average player. This course proved to be that I am still a weenie arm that has little control. I really enjoyed this course and the folks I met on the course were more than willing to help a newbie find his way around. I can certainly understand why the Atlanta Open national qualifier was held on this course. Lastly, if you want to prove to yourself that you are a truly good disc golfer, play this course from the black tees. If you can shoot below par, you are the man!

East Roswell is a very well put together course. Tournament caliber with 3 tees Red-Blue-Black (Black being the pro). A variety of throws will be used to score well here. Pins change every hole with distance variations and right to left. Excellent course.

Can be frustrating on an off day. Rough can be pretty thick on some holes. Don't let the semi truck trailers on hole 5 scare you!
