- First time playing it can be a little difficult to navigate the first few holes and the cross over the creek in the middle.

Water isn't very clean, so don't lose a disc, it could be hard to fetch. (from experience)

Part of a larger greenway & park for other activities (basketball, playground, walkable path, etc.)

Closest 18 hole course to downtown Denver area there is (though is still 20+ minute drive from there).
Lots of chance for birdies and aces.
Well marked and easy to find tees (except far a couple of holes you have to cross the bridge to find).

Always accumulated water and some mosquitos
Always seems to be a family or two with many kids on the course which can hold you up sometimes.
Easy to lose discs on the drink on some holes.

Great course and always fun.

Good city course that is easily traversable if its dry. Water adds great challenge, has decent length and makes the most of the elevation in the park. Fairly well maintained.

Wet and muddy, most of the time. Water holes are fun, but if your plastic gets wet, its gone! DO NOT go into the water, there is a good chance it will make you sick! Locals dive for discs every so often, but they WILL NOT call if your number is on it. Twice, I've had someone try to sell me my own disc. Otherwise, the plastic will end up at play-it-again sports, off of Hampden and Tower.

Good play, fun for families and pets.

Very nice park, Played in the MHDGC Tags match, great way to start the new year. The ponds were frozen and the Geese were flying.

Good variety of shots needed

When the ponds are not frozen you better bring some way to retrieve your disc in case you throw a little of course, lots of water here.

The course had a great lay out as it went throughout the park. Water came to play in most of the holes. The ponds where frozen solid on New Year Day and if you are new to the game you should play this course in the winter. It will keep you from losing your disk to a water hazards. One of the best marked tee box courses I have played with the distances marked in the concrete throwing pads.

GOOSE POOP! Even on the frozen snow covered ground you could see the grounds are covered in it. Do not wear your good shoes to play as they will need a cleaning after a round of golf. They need to extend the holes to have a few par 4 or 5 holes. The park does not have much for obstacles to throw around and it felt as though I was having to hold back during tee off. I could throw directly to most holes and even past many if I really let one rip. After playing one hole you felt as though many of the holes played the same just sightly shorter or longer.

If in the area you need to stop by and play this course, but they really need to figure out how to get rid of the geese. I would offer up another half star if they got rid of them. The only thing that keeps this course from 5 stars is that and the lack of obstacles and no long holes.

The water holes are very fun and will test your "manhood". Concrete tee pads and nice baskets with double chains. Ace run potential on every hole for those with big-arms.

The ponds and creeks that connect them that you will throw over is absolutely disgusting, if you throw a disc in, you might as well kiss it goodbye as I'd rather reach in a used port-a-potty.

Bring extra discs, especially if you're newer to the odds of you losing a disc or two are pretty good here.

Great place to take a first time golfer. If you avoid hole 2, there is zero chance of losing a disc here, and there are no trees to contend with.

The place can smell pretty foul as the ponds collect mildew. As a public park, there are a lot of people there on nice days, but the course is always wide open.

Every now and then, some drunken characters brave the pond to collect and sell lost discs. These guys found 15 of them yesterday. They will smell for days...

Fun course to play if you are near Denver, Dog Leg Discs is a few blocks away, some holes to let your driver rip and others you can use a putter,practice hole, nice tee pads

Other than the lake, not many obstacles, can be a lot of people and kids walking through the park or playing in between the tee and basket, can get busy, if you play often expect to lose a disc or two

You don't want to go in the water, so better to play it safe on some holes, especially when it's windy

The concrete tee pads at this course are very nice. The designer thought long about how to maximize the tee pads to add hole info on them. The design of the course creates some long shots, some short shots and some intimidating shots. The park is mostly grass so that makes play more enjoyable. Most tees are easy to spot from the previous basket.

The park smells something funky when it is warm because of the nasty lake water. There is a lot of trash/goo in the water areas. I would not recommend going in to the lake to retrieve a lost disc. There are many families that frequent the park's walking path so you have to be careful when teeing off.

This course plays pretty fast. Most players can get 18 holes in about an hour. There are some potential ace holes and some longer drives so each shot is not boring. Like most city parks you have to deal with non-DGers, but is minimal. There is a very nice disc golf shop minutes away from this course called Dog Leg Discs.

Both the tee pads and the baskets are in very good condition. This course uses the entire park spreading out each hole. Most of the holes go around the lake in the park to provide a little more difficulty. It has both short holes and longer holes for all age uses and ability levels. The baskets are in a concrete ring which I feel is a nice added touch.

There is goose "crap" everywhere! Be prepared to step in a lot of it. When the course starts to wrap back around the other side of the lake the smell really starts to pick up. The park was kinda busy for a week day, for the most park the non disc golf players stay out of the way.

Highly recommend this course when playing in the greater Denver Metro area. This course is a good half hour drive from where I live and I can wait to make that drive to play it again.

This course is in a very nice big and open park. There are very few things that inhibit play and the course rules further make play confined to areas where fewer passers by will be in the way. The tees are incredible nice and each hole is well marked and visible from the tee. One can get a map and score card in the community center right near the first tee making navigation significantly easier.

This is probably one of the shortest courses that I have played though distances were very well varied throughout. Water is a very significant part of this course. There are so many discs thrown into the water that there are regular guys that come out just to find lost discs in the lakes. There is a fair amount of trash on a few holes near the water left from when water levels are higher. This was an extremely busy course on the weekend. Besides the water I did not think that this course was all that challenging and I scored extremely well for the first time playing a course. Flooding on this course is likely and would inhibit play on a couple of holes significantly.

Bring something with you to help you retrive water discs, or play the long way on a few holes and skip potential water hazards all together. I did wak away with a couple of beat up discs that I was able to grab from the waters edge. For the first time playing you will definately want a map as a lack of signs makes it hard to know when you need to cross the water to get to the next tee.

- Best teepads I've ever seen. You can do the hokey-pokey, turn yourself around, and still have room for a decent X-step.
- Good restrooms, quite a few benches and trashcans.
- Water in play to varying degrees on most holes.
- Just an incredible park... the lack of signs contribute to an incredibly clean and peaceful park. It seems to me that the designer wanted to preserve as much of the natural beauty of the area as possible.

- No signs. This is by design, however, as each tee pad has the distance and hole number marked on it.
- Tee #10 in particular seems to be at risk of going under water after a heavy rain.
- Minimal elevation.

I played on a dry day so that obviously had a positive influence on my review. There seems to be a high flood risk here, so be advised going in that conditions are highly variable.

This course show great potential. Very nice concrete tees, many opportunities for birdies, I like the way the water comes into play on many holes. Once the trees mature this could be a great course.

No par indicators for the holes, ponds are full of trash, some holes were overly muddy on a clear day with no rain (9&10)I watched many a disc being retreived (when possible) from the water.

Quite a few players out for a Wednesday afternoon, and even though the park was busy throughout, it didn't interrupt the flow of play. #13 is a particularly wicked hole especially for a lefty or forehand driver.

This course is in a very nicely manicured park in the middle of Aurora. Shorter holes make for an easier more relaxed game. Not a lot of elevation changes either for ease on the knees.

Trash. This place can get very bad and the water in the center is nasty to say the least. Also, never go after a heavy rain, this place floods like no ones business.

All in all worth the visit when in the Denver area. It isn't my favorite in Colorado but I do enjoy the course for a change.
