Build your own lake rake

in honor of fffishy's steaming pile of crap (trying to sell rakes for $165), i'd like to revive this thread:

1. just to spite him for being a greedy douche, and
2. to bump it so more rake pics can get posted

well where are they...Anyone have some other ingenuis ideas of lake rakes. Considering making myself one, but the only lake hole at my course has lots of seaweed and probably some limbs in it so not sure how well one would hold up.

i made mine for like 6 bucks and used sch 80 pipe for more durabilty and did not glue any parts rope goses through it in a crossing patern and up to a loop that just sticks out the end when together so a one of the add a link chain links that has the nut on it keeps the rope tight inside so it dosnt come apart cant wait till the water is back down to use it water has been down all summer so gona be a wile till there are meny discs in range now that it is up
if u want to see it send me a pm with ur cell number cant figure out how to up load pics on here

Here's what I use.

I really want to build this because the ponds in North Carolina are deep, murky, and occasionally home to flesh-eating bacteria, and they often eat lots of discs.

How do you throw this 40 ft? It looks like it is too fragile to chuck it backhand or side-arm like a disc. Not to mention awkward and spiky.

mine is held together by the rope looped threw it i use the spin like a disc thower like olympics hamer style throw i also used sch 80 not 40 and did not drill extra holes i used tee's instead of 90's and used seconed cross in back so that the water gets in faster but not much u can do about the spikey

and if its a pond or a river get a buddy to help just throw the rope back and forth taking turns pulling it back and forth

well you can't use your Jedi powers to benefit your self. Only to help and protect others. Using them to get a disc out of the water is helping prevent some one from getting pneumonia.:)

Holy. Crap. Zippo, you made six posts, and didn't use a single f#$king punctuation mark. I hope you die and burn in grammar hell. No, really. I'm not joking. :wall:

On topic...my home course has a lake inlet, unfortunately, it's covered in lilies, and surrounded by sawgrass. DOH! And the other pond has so many logs and junk in it from people trying to get discs or whatever...
