So had a thread going on about the definition of your local course. This quickly turned into a discussion on local and home courses, the differences, etc. So I thought of an interesting idea, sorry if it has been done already. This thread is for users to list their home course.

For "home" course, I want to know your favorite course, the one that you can be found on at least 2 to 3 times a week, or at least the one that you can be found on most often. The course that you know inside and out. I think it would be very helpful for people planning on playing a course for the first time, if they have any questions that aren't answer on the course page or in the reviews they can go through the thread, find who plays that course regularly and maybe ask them questions about their home course.

I also thought it would be interesting to see just home many different courses get listed. I have often wondered just how many different courses the DGCR crowd frequents.

I guess to keep it simple you probably want to just list the course, maybe with a link to the course page, and maybe how close to the course you are, how often you are found there.

My home course is North Charlotte Regional Park in Port Charlotte Florida. I'ts about 15 miles away and I'm playing it 2-3 times a week.

I think I just did this in another thread about an hour ago:rolleyes:

Iron Hill, DE

My home course is Iron Hill, DE and I wish I could be found there 2-3 times a week. It is more like once a week.

Morley Field in San Diego, CA. Probably there 2-3 times a week with the occasional trips to Emerald Isle in Oceanside, CA.

Crookston DGC in Fletcher, NC. Decidedly average- but it is 6 minutes away. It is kind of like snow skiing in North Carolina- it isn't Vail, but it is better than not skiing at all. So we play there a lot and then run out to better courses when we can.

Hudson Mills Original is my true home course - 4 mi. from home. However, I also play the Ponds at Lakeshore in Ypsilanti, MI quite a bit as well.

BLM

Carroll Marty while school is in session, Ewing or Centennial (Waukee) during the summer. I would play Ewing everyday if it was closer.

Mine is banklick woods 24 holes with plenty of birds and ace runs, since i have bought a house i dont take my dog to idlewild its to nice of a course which means i dont play it during the week. You cant really get a quick round in at the wild either.
