I need a putter for windy days. What is a putter that you guys like? I putt with the Anode.. I don't like the Ion though.

I putt with the anode on windy days, unless you're playing in a hurricane I don't see why you can't?
My home course is on the shore of lake Michigan, always windy. I've never once found a need for a beefy putter :\
My $.02

If you do not like the Ion because of the bead, check out a Warlock or Zone. I use those depending on how much wind I'm facing.

How windy you talking here? For mild wind, I use an ESP Banger. For heavy wind, nothing's more overstable than a Discraft Zone or Innova Pig (rhino but one speed faster).

the zone is the most overstable putter i know. i believe i have heard that some european company makes an equally overstable putter, however i haven't seen their stuff on sale in stores in the us

What style of putting do you use....and yeah, how windy?

I'm a spin putter and find that my Magics and Voodoos do great for normal conditions (up to about 15mph or so). After that I'll sometimes use a Pig (almost the same as a Rhino but better for driving and utility, imo). The last several months I've been liking a champ XD for high wind putting and it's been excellent...somewhat brickish glide and cuts the wind better than most deep profile overstable putters. Only in cfr but you can find them new for $15 or so, $20 at most places.

I think that the very overstable putters aren't necessary for high wind putts and they can work against you, too. Great for drives and approaches, though, but I've abandoned them as putters for the most part, and it's freakin' windy here all the time. Slim and heavy do better than grossly overstable, imo. This may be why some people use Rocs in this situation.

Why change your putter? Why not just practice and learn how to putt in the wind? Any putter you choose will be different than your Anode and cause you to have to adjust your putting which will then screw up your "calm" putting with the Anode.

This is the correct answer. I'm not the best of putters especially in the wind. I play with a few guys that are awesome putters and don't really change much in the wind from their normal putting. They are great putters and throw their usual putter when its windy and hit putts all day from anywhere.
