Putter driving?

I personally drive with putters all the time and really like doing so. Ranges can change dramatically depending on the shot but most of the time I will drive with a putter in shorter ranges. I do however drive top of the world with an Ion and that's a 550' hole I've parked with putters. On almost any down hill shot you can disc down and get great results and when its called for I love throwing putters downhill.

I've been focusing on driving my putter when I was driving a mid earlier this year. I use a fresh neutron ion and can get it out about 265' on a good day

I usually throw my Opto or Grip Pures on putter drives. My usual idea of a putter drive is anything under 200'. If I need a more overstable flight I'll drive with my Ion, which is also the disc I use when I throw "putter only" rounds.

Zone, ridge, summit for me. I can get my putters out to 200' without them getting squirrelly, maybe 230' if I'm throwing well that day.

Love the accuracy.

I'm throwing a Wizard for anything 200 ft. or so and under. Depending on the situation, I will throw it for farther distances too.

i used to drive with piranhas, i still would if i had some left

now i drive with medium ions. the are super straight flyers and i only throw them about 150-200 feet.

i drive with KC Pro Aviars and i only throw them about 200 feet.

This is more like it for me. 250 on a good pull. Learn to throw your putters in all situations. The more you learn how to shape shots with a putter, the easier your other discs will seem.

I'll throw my Wizard off the tee for anything around 200 or less. Especially in tight shots where I'm worried about hitting a tree, the SS Wizard will just flop down by the base of the tree instead of ricocheting off into no man's land.

By the time a putter has gone 550' you could walk back to your bag, get a drink, have a snack, double check the score card, and put your bag on.

I dont pay so much attention to the distance as much as the line i want.
Same here. I usually pull out an Ion or Anode if I need dead nuts straightness and a controlled lie, especially on short, tunnel holes where ceiling isn't an issue.

The only thing I look for out of a putter driver is a lot of HSS. The Ion suits me down to the ground b/c I can put the hammer down for straightness or take a little off/add hyzer for sweeping hyzers.

As far as distance, I can throw them 300' BUT it is a chore and I have to be throwing a putter only round to really do that on the regular. Otherwise, probably b/w 220'-250'.

That's not really an exaggeration, lol.

I throw my Wizard on anything closer than about 220. In fact, I'm looking for a firmer Wizard to use strictly as my driving putter, so my putting putter doesn't get so beat up.

found out due to tons of rain and playing in a downpour today my xd was the only disc i had that was grippy enough to drive w/

This is exactly what I do as well. Over the 220'-250' I'm reaching for a Drone or a Buzzz, but under is putter time!
