Post Your Disc Golf Injury Pics

That finger is crazy. I keep scrolling up and down the screen because I can't look at it for more than a second but I can't not look at it. EEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Alright one last look, darnit almost vomitted again.

Below is the worst injury ever. McLeod had this happen to him when he was climbing a fence to get a disc. His quote when asked if he has a bionic finger now... "Nope, that hand's on permanent Shocker mode now."

We have a winner....

I gotta ask, what happened to the leftovers?

I'm not sure I want to come back to this thread again. But, I do wonder what the outcome was. How's he doing?

Gruesome, for sure. Makes me nervous to climb fences! A freak accident, I hope.

Haha, there's an old thread with the missing finger picture. Also, a pretty good shot of Valkyrie Grrl's sliced open leg.

Ooold stuff, there.

7 hours later and I still can't stop looking. I feel like an addict, I keep telling myself I'll stop looking after one more peek.

Yeah, I stumbled on "the finger pic" halfway through a bowl of cereal for breakfast this morning. WTF fo realz.

Moral of the story: don't wear rings while climbing chain link fences, yo. :gross: :\

the real question to be asked is:

was it his throwing hand? :D

It isn't his throwing hand. Sorry for digging it up. It was on a thread about injuries that died about a year ago. From his forum posts, he still plays and frequently posts on this site.

The finger one, looks like his wedding ring got caught on the fence and just pulled the flesh off the bone?

That's what happened. I quit wearing my ring after seeing this pic. My wife isn't thrilled, but I'll stay loyal to her without my ring.

The OP kinda got one upped. We went from my finger kinda hurts to I lost my finger. Wow!

Wish I had a picture of my knee after I destroyed it playing basketball but kept me outta disc golf all summer and still not at full strength. I will never play basketball again. disc golf saved my life.

I've worked in hospital ER for almost 10 years now. I am waiting for a disc golf story to come in. I've had everything else from fishing to racquetball. At least give me a good patient to joke with. My probably worse disc golf injury for me wasn't too bad as I took extra careful care with it. But I slid down an embankment trying to get a disc and ripped and cut my arm pretty bad. Problem was I slid into a very dirty creek. It took a lot of peroxide and other cleaning agent a few days of constant washing and a few days of antibiotics to keep the infection away.
