here we go...

McBeast's own thread to field questions, concerns and to generally avail himself (time permitting) to us here at DGCR.

right off the bat paul, what in general made you feel the need to stay loyal to innova? from what you have already covered about this can you be more specific?

obviously the offer made to the other pros who left their respective companies had to be pretty generous, and you seem to be a generally astute businessman (from what i've read you say here in the forums). can you elaborate a bit on this topic?

oh, and thanks for agreeing to this thread!

ps thanks to MJ and his thread for inspiring this one.

dijiste que eres mexicano, pero hablas español?

real question: when did you go with GRIPEQ?

I won't be answer any questions about this "new company" but I will say I was offered a spot along with many others but seeing what they were offering wasn't appealing to me so I decided to stay with Innova

I weighed my options between Innova and "company" but in the ended I felt Innova was a better choice for my future

I can respect your choice for staying loyal! Last thing we need is another "Lebron" jumping ship first chance he gets.

I switched to GripEQ in june at the KC wide open

Got a Grip in the mail, Merry X-Mas to me, can you talk more about why you went with this bag sponsor and what you keep in the bag (not discs)?

Will we be seeing a McBeast sig edition soon? :hfive:

Can you confirm or deny that you declined to have a signature Roc3? I heard that on TMZ..
I can confirm and deny. First I was testing a couple discs out just checking out what I liked. I mentioned I like the flight of the roc, Innova took that as this is his choice. It was a misunderstanding but I never had a choice so they stopped production stamping for a bit till I had a soild choice.

Awesome. So your choice is...? Not the Groove I'm assuming.

Hey Paul thanks for a great run last year I love watching any video that you are in. It's great to see the sport coming to new levels And young guns carrying the torch for the next generation. I think you are playing at a very exciting time for the sport and I am glad that disc golf has a player like you who is classy and dominates!!

I hope the disc you choose brings you money and the sponsorships that are enough to keep you going for a while. I look forward to watching you grow and become a multiple world champ.

Sorry for the rant!!

Now when you coming to the Wisconsin area? I would gladly take some discs off you and attend a clinic!!

Oh yeah congrats champ!

Paul, what tips do you have for someone going on their first tour?
e.g. choosing tournaments, saving money, finding tourmates etc.

Also, what kind of practice routines do you follow on tour to keep your skills sharp or does that just stay from playing tourneys?

Find someone you can get along willing to split costs to same money on gas, lodging ect.
Look for events close to eachother to save money.

To practice get to the courses early, find local routes and hazards to improve your chances of keeping strokes.
