What course won't you play alone?

evidently whitefedora got jacked at Schenley today so i guess that one is a good one to carry the baby Glock at....

Globeville Landing in Denver sometimes has mentally unstable sorts lounging around and a weird campsite or two with little to no discer traffic. Also sometimes when I'm deep in the thick of the Blair Witch Course in North Denver I wonder if someone is going to jump out of a bush and say: "Surprise!". But mostly I wonder if bored local kids are going to snatch a blind shot and try to sell it the next day on the course. :\

Does anyone else notice that all the disc golfers who have been shot or stabbed to death on the course are not voicing their opinions on this thread. Weird.

yeah that's odd  but those who have been harrassed, robbed, or seen strange things are giving interesting anecdotes.

Kelsey Scott in Salisbury is kinda sketch but back when I played it a bunch it was more like you would see a bunch of drug dealers hanging out on the bench near 8's teepad and under the bridge near 5's tee pad. I did see a bunch of used condoms hanging from the big tree on 3, that was kinda weird.

When I played Kelsey Scott there were two large groups of gangsters on opposite sides of the parking lot. one was your regular thugged out type and the other were clearly all born in africa.

i didnt feel threatened or anything they seemed to just be hanging out selling drugs or whatever. i kept an eye on my car during the round but never really freaked out about it.

honestly i'd play just about anywhere alone, i used to walk around in some pretty bad neighborhoods going door to door for sears at night. i've had people answer the door holding a knife. so playing in a park doesn't really worry me.

Plum Creek in Lexington, NE. Just plain sketchy. I played alone in the morning before the thugs were awake but it was still eery and I was waiting for someone to approach me. There were a few homeless guys there and evidence of wrong doings everywhere.
Drove through Lexington once. English is definitely a second language in that town. Not what you would expect in central Nebraska.

Blue Valley was a little sketch to me. My friends and I were confronted by a couple gang-bangers at the 7-Eleven down the street before the round. Drove away unharmed, but it did make me realize I wasn't in a real nice part of town.

I have multiple carry permits from all over the US and what I own could be called an arsenal. I have never brought a gun to the course for protection.

The only courses where I ever have brought guns out to were courses deep out in the mountains. The guns I bring out aren't for protecting against gang members, they are in case I run into mountain lions, bears, or rattlesnakes on the course.

Seems like a beveled-edge driver would be more effective than a pistol for dealing with rattlers. :|

Out working on a friends property I've had to take down a couple of rattlers. I can take the head clean off at about 5yds with my 9.

Sugaw is definitely more than a bit sketch.
A few years ago during The Iron Man, the bench by hole 11 was wrapped in crime scene tape.
A buddy of mine had someone show a pistol in his belt. He reported it to the cop in the parking lot and the guy with the gun got busted before he got out of the park.
Hole 12's fairway is known as condom alley.

Up until the robbery last weekend, I had no problem playing there alone. I'll probably play elsewhere if alone, at least for a while.

It used be called hooker alley when the course went in. I guess if people are gone and only their personal affects remain, one could argue that the course is being cleaned up step by step due to the DG course being there. :D
