2013 Glass Blown Open

Lawrence got some serious rain early this AM.
Heading down Thursday afternoon. Will check in as soon as I'm in town, then head out for a practice round. Not sure if I'll go to Jones E, or C-Club.

Player's pack is pretty awesome.

Drifit, jacket, and new small bag of their's which is pretty nice actually. A goldline Mace and lucid renegade along with birdie bag and other small items.

that players pack is sweet, for everyone?

Yeah they had everything laid out on the stage at the Granada theatre which is only about a block south of the DD store in town. Bags in either all black like the one I got or a gray/black. Same on the rain jackets I believe they had black or gray. Maybe four or five colors on the shirts to pick from. Couple bins of the discs in various colors and weights. I liked the purple the best on those and although I bought six renegades yesterday this lucid one is 166g and should turn nicely for me. Very pleased with the player pack. I may have known the bag would be in there but the good thing with short term memory loss is everything is a surprise. :D

Always nice to throw a round with you. Nice to meet your friends also. Rough weather but I can at least say I played disc golf with a cart now. Good luck to you this weekend, give me a text before you leave town sunday if I haven't given you that Yeti before that.

I won't be playing this year, but I'll definitely be there filming and caddying. I have 2 mini baskets, tub o minis and a DISCatcher that I'll be bringing down. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up.

Played the entire ECC course yesterday, and got about 8 of the holes in at Muni before our group got tired. In the first five holes, I carded two 7's and a 9. Some of us stuck around to just drive on the remaining ones. Now I see why they hold you to one round per day.

Updated weather forecast:

Today - High 56, Low 35, wind NW at 18 MPH, no chance of rain.
Saturday - High 62, Low 49, wind SSE at 14 MPH, 20% chance of rain.
Sunday - High 73, Low 47, wind SSW at 27 MPH, 20% chance of rain.

Looks like the nice temps on Sunday are going to have a trade off.

you call that bad conditions? that wind is nothing either, typical day of golf up here.

you call that bad conditions?
No, I call that a typical spring day in Kansas.

I was just stating what the weather was going to be like dude, not turning this into a wind speed wang measuring contest (although climatic data will show that high wind days are far more typical here).

And you're not at the GBO to make a first hand comparison, so I'll just chock your little witticism up to what it is.

Not to mention that at the municipal golf course here there is literally no wind breaks from either trees or elevation. A wind measured at 27mph at the little reader downtown is about 40mph with gusts to 50 out at that golf course. A comparison is never required. Everyone has seen the wind putt at last year's on youtube. That's not some freak day that's called Saturday in the prairie.

you are an idiot. plain and simple. the only one trying to measure their wang is you. you probably actually went and looked up statistics. pathetic. additionally, I did not say that we have worse conditions, just that the weather you posted is pretty typical here on the course and nothing to fret over.
now, if you bold something red that generally has a meaning of 'bad' or 'undesirable'.
Second you say there is going to be a trade off to the nice temps, once again implying that the wind is going to be 'bad'.
lastly, what does me having to be at the GBO have to do with my comment? Like I have never been on flat wide open windy courses before. We are not called Flatlanders for nothing.
And why would you compare apples and oranges? entirely different weather factors between Great Lakes area and Plains.

Smyith did that to me earlier in the week. Took what i said and BLEW it out of proportion.

I mean, when the above response starts with "you are and idiot" I think it fair to say we're dealing with a grown child. I didn't even read anything after that.

Scarp stated the weather conditions with NO OPINION OR COMMENT.

And then dude some back an says "you call those bad conditions"

Q: Did Scarp ever call them "bad conditions" did he comment one way or the other?
A: NO :clap::clap::clap:

Anyway, I am surprised by McCabe. He seems to be struggling this year. Think it may be bag(new discs) related?

Me too! That's what I was thinking.

Also where the heck did Seaborn come from!? Great to see him up front!
