Sorry I added to the pissing contest. ^_^

MrGlass, let me know what course you're at and I'll try and get a sandwich to ya!

yea so my point is a new plastic form MVP is needed.. nothing wrong with that?

That's why I have stayed away from MVP for putters. I like the ion as a driving putter but not as a putter.

I'm hoping their new driver is doesn't have a shallow grip nor a very slanted rim.

Elver park madison Wisconsin. I figure ill get a round in at 6 am an lock myself around 7 am. Ham and cheese would be great!

Hmm... That could be a problem. I usually play Shore Acres in Saugatuck, Michigan. I could probably tape your sammich to a Volt and try and huck it across the pond but I'm not sure I could make it all the way to the middle of Cheesehead country... Maybe if I tape a few bucks and a note as well some helpful cabby will drive it the rest of the way?

Ha. This little plan you guys have going on about tying yourself to a basket is pretty funny. Makes for entertaining reading. I especially like the image I get picturing a flying Volt with a sandwich taped to it. LOL.

This is hilarious. I remember talking about how MVP was lacking in the grip aspect during adverse conditions. Bunch of people came to MVP's rescue and told me how wrong I was.

I'm pretty sure one of them was in4D. Now he's complaining about grip issues when wet. Imagine that. Champ style plastic, slick when its wet. Who would've thunk?

And they already make a baseline ion. It was around before the ion. A wizard!

Because YOU can't learn to throw premium plastic in the rain means MVP needs a new product. Because YOU have issues throwing puddle tops means they are useless and MVP shouldn't spend the time on more runs of soft neutron.

My drives always slip in the rain,...

MVP discs don't suck in the rain, you just have to know how to throw them.

Yes they need a new plastic product, because i should not have to "learn" to throw a premium disc in the rain when its wet, there should be a plastic that provides enough friction when wet so i can have a firm grip and pull the disc into my palm snug, like normal, i dont want to have to "learn" another way to throw a disc just for when its wet, i putt the exact same way all the time in practice and in tournaments so i can maintain consistency. till they make a different plastic, im going to toss my wizards back in the bag :)

puddle top ions are not useless, they work great for drives.. but i cannot putt with them, not everyone has the same putting style, the soft neutron ion i had was a freak, it started out slightly puddled and got extremely puddled with a little use.. i was talking about a problem with dome on neutron soft that they need to account for before they make more soft runs. i like a disc that has structural consistency as i use it and beat it in, like my medium plastics don't change much over long periods of time, i like that. im sorry you disagree with me, you're entitled to your opinion.

And i don't think your a fool, you just like to quarrel

User input is great! I'm excited every time I see someone throw out a wish for the exact thing that's next. It's happened just about every time.

When somebody goes all "meh meh mehhh" about the new disc, I just figure they're terminal and have one disc release left in their life. So I'm like, aww poor fella. For everyone not dying soon, MVP has a long sequence of new and awesome for you.

I'm not mehing new discs. I'm stoked to try a proton volt but I also already throw 3 and own two more new ones so while excited I'm not gonna exactly preorder.

User input is great. I just get sick of opening this thread hoping to read about how discs fly and get nothing but, "can we please have proton soft gummy eclipse opaque ions?...no we need neutron super soft domey annodes." I guess your right it has its place it just puts me to sleep.

I can grip no discs when wet. Proton, neutron, SSS, X, D, Star, Champ...Doesn't matter. The only thing that changes my lack of grip is the amount of water on my discs and hand. My hands are greasy and if my disc or hands are wet I play like trash. I learned that years ago. The only thing I have troubles with now a days is always remembering an umbrella even if the weather looks good.

So, is anyone else finding that the tangent is replacing their axises? For me it seems to be more reliable on sweeping or big horseshoe annys but I was wondering how you guys felt?

I could foresee myself going back to Axis from Tangents. Something about the Tangents and I aren't gelling quite right. Plus, I feel like they should have better glide than they do.

if anything.. the tangent has too much glide'

No way can I see the two being the same disc but for certain playing styles one would work better for that person than the other. I like to throw hyzer-flips all day long and the axis will tend to hold that hyzer release much longer than a tangent as well as fading out sooner. Reminds me more of a stalker like driver than a midrange.

Re: Axis/Tangent - I could see it being a problem of long midrange/short fairway (Axis) vs. long putter/short midrange (Tangent). Depending on your game and how much you like to get out of your mids, the Axis might be better, especially when worn in. If you tend to use the mids less off the tee and more for upshots, then the Tangent is the ticket.
