The next great player....under 18 phenoms

So, he's a boss who might struggle when the line calls for a FH throw. This ain't Ken Climo's game anymore. If you want to be the best of the best, you need to have at least a serviceable FH.

nonsense.

Are you being sarcastic? So forehand is a wrong way to throw? Tell that to Big Jerm & Ricky Wysocki while they rip 450'+ drives forehand more accurate than most people can throw any type of shot. Forehand is a great tool to have in the bag no matter your skill level. When your in situations in which your trying to get outta trouble sometimes a forehand will give you a better stance & definitely gets more distance from a standstill than backhand. Forehand allows the thrower to face their target throughout the whole throw & learning it will take stokes off anyone's game who already doesn't use it.

im not being sarcastic at all, i think forehand shots are the easy way out every single time. timmy gill designed all my local courses and there are so many dogleg rights its disgusting. i seriously think forehanding is a cop out. we all know its harder to pull off touch annys and the sort but if someone flicks anything i lose all respect for them. i compare it to pushing mongo on skateboards, easier sometimes but BAD form. imagine if a baseball pitcher pulled out a underhand softball throw randomly, it would throw off the hitter and likely be beneficial, doesnt mean it isnt lame as hell.

I think Nolan was just trying to get a reaction out of us. I fell right into his trap.

i am not a troll, i dont care about getting reactions from people on the internet. i think youre wrong and am voicing my rebuttal in this public forum.

because they are MEN.

Somebodys mad cause they cant throw a forehand lol

Thats dumb to say its an easier shot and then say its lame in the same post. I want to make the easiest shot possible to win. Its not like were talking about steroids to gain an advantage, we are talking about a skill.....that u must not possess

Because of more doglegs right, indeed, damn cheating lefties!
On my home course I'd be in trouble without my sidearm throws. Took atleast the same amount of time on field to get somekinda form on FH than BH. Every FH dominant player I know can noobhyzer BH like some ppl do by flicking OS stuff.

James Proctor - he's 18 and showing a lot of potential - he was on the lead card at beaver state fling this year after his first round - I used to play with him when he was 14 and since then he has really stepped up his game - keep an eye out

Colorado is full of them, to be honest.

My first choice is Nathan Abernathy. 17 years old, and a course killer. He's already played up to Pro and seriously kills the leagues down in Pueblo. His tournaments, thus far, have been somewhat unimpressive as he does tend to get a bit stressed out/intimidated and there are plenty of, shall we say, less than scrupulous players in the CO area who take advantage of this. But trust me, kids a beast. His older brother Michael is a tech killer as well. Here's Nathan's PDGA page: http://www.pdga.com/player_stats/100997

Another is Salvador Ross. He hasn't played many tourneys, but he's another killer. He's only 18, and in the 303 Amateur tourney I only beat him by 6 throws! AND he played a division up from me! Here's his stats: http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/99997

The youngest of the Colorado "young guns" is Drew Palmer...12 years old and a total shredder. He rocks, seriously. His dad, mom and older brother all kick major butt as well. Here's his stats: http://www.pdga.com/player_stats/101574

The last two have to be Paige and Hunter Bjerkaas. Paige is ALREADY on Team Dynamic Discs and she hasn't even graduated high school! Their mom and dad are also awesome players, and Doug (the father) designs awesome courses as well as maintaining the popular CHU course. You can mark my words right now...she will one day win Worlds! Here's her page: http://www.pdga.com/player_stats/49782/2013

Hunter, her younger brother, is not current at the moment, but trust me, kid kills it.

I love when people put down posts like this. I reminds why the internet is great.

I second Opti on Matt Kashima. That kid is awesome and will be tearing up open in no time.

I hope it's Austin. I played on the lead card in advanced with him when he was barely over 900 rated (which was only 14 months ago) and watched him win his 1st pdga tournament. He seems like a good kid and seems willing to put in work on the weak spots in his game. It's tough to say where a person's ceiling is, but from watching him play i think that he's still a ways from discovering his.

I play with Matty all the time and definitely am rooting for him. He recently beat Mike Moser to win a tournament in the open division -- pretty awesome.

....the first two are rated in the 800's and the third is rated in the 700's. i don't consider that killing it when there's already been some guys listed rated just under 1000.

who's the kid who caddied for Nikko at Worlds? That kid had unreal form, was bombing drives, getting 3 on 700' holes with great approaches and solid putting. Kid was the real deal.

I lost all respect for Ken Climo when he started forehanding some. Also, I saw Barry throw a forehand shot in the Azalea video to get out of trouble, guess I don't respect him now either.

if you're not a troll then you're just a plain idiot.

How old is Peter McBride? Seen him on some of the Central Coast DG vids ... extremely smooth form, seems like he's got a good mental game too

Raymond oberley jr, us am champ last year, won a few tourneys this year as well with a tier beating ulibarri and cale

He might have a good game, but I got very little respect for this kid right now. He agreed to a cash split and then went back on his word after the person he agreed to split with went OB on the first hole of the final 9.

if thats true then thats pretty lame

Anthony Barela. Crushed the field in his age bracket at Worlds. His technique is a nearly an exact duplication of McBeth, and can throw over 500' at 13 y/o.
