First of all, hello. I'm back after being gone for about a year. If you remember me from back then, hi! I don't know how many people are still around/how many new people are here.

So, I'm back to playing after about a year and a half. I'm getting back into the swing of things, and still love most of the stuff in my bag (Ions, Vectors, Axis, Fuse, TDs, Destroyers), but have a noticeable lack of fairways. I know what I would've bought to try out a year ago (Eagles/TeeBirds), but I want to know what discs have come out more recently that I should consider.

I'm looking for a workhorse fairway (I'm also a fan of using one mold in stages of wear, so something like an Eagle is ideal). I know MVP has new discs, but know nothing about them.

So, fire away.

Eagle.. Teebird...... Saint Pro (See regular saint for shots that have some turn) Also, check out the MVP Volt.

The teebird is still an amazing fairway.. so yeah. lol

I suggest you buy Eagles and leave more Teebirds for me.:D Either or is great for cycling whether you do a Champ and Stars or all DX.

I don't throw MVP so yeah, can't comment on them too much.

I wish I had a store near by so I could go and try how all different discs feel in my hand.. I think it's important that the disc fits hand because comfortable feel equals more confidence and so. (For me at least..)

ill throw up some love for the stalker. ti for wind. glow z for slight overstable. beat some z's for everything else

The Dynamic Discs Escape and Trespass are the best fairway drivers I have ever used.

If you wanted to try MVP you could go resistor/servo, that seems like it could be a decent combo. I use Discmania FD's across the different plastics and wear stages because I like the one mold thing.

What speed do you throw for your distance drivers? You'll probably get some volt/escape recommendations but for some of us(like me) those would be distance drivers.

MVP has some excellent fairways to offer. The Servo and Volt are the most versatile, for any arm. The Servo is a bit shorter than the Volt. A Proton Volt and Servo (currently only available in Neutron plastic) would make a great combo.

If you need an understable fairway, the Amp would suit your needs nicely. It's understable, but not too flippy to be unpredictable.

If you can get your hands on an Avery Jenkins Tour Series Star Teebird then I would go with that. They aren't on the factory store website, so idk if they stopped making them. I hope that they are just out of stock. They are a perfect teebird IMO. Excellent high speed stability. It started out with a decent fade to it, but now that mine is beating up, it lost some fade but is still very HSS. The glide on it is ridiculous too for the amount of stability it has. It seems like it just wants to stay straight until the very end of its flight.

New run neutron Volt (most US) , eclipse Volt (most neutral) , and proton Volt (most OS). These should cover your fairways.

Or....

Opto Saint Pro> GL Saint Pro> Opto Saint> GL Saint (llisted in order from most OS to least)

The Stag is a great fairway driver. Slightly less overstable than a Teebird out of the box...just nice and glidey. Not super great in the wind, though.

I recently discovered the tbird. Wish I had along time ago! Would be easy to get cycle of dx birds going as they beat in quickly. I have only thrown my dx in about six rounds and it's already becoming more like a tl.

Check out the volt for neutral, light weight GL river for understable, and a predator for headwinds. If thats too much, try a shock or ti stalker.

I love eagles and I think they are great for cycling.

The Escape is the straightest fairway driver I've ever thrown. It's also sneaky long with lots of glide!
