[Putters] What you putt with and why

I cannot seem to settle in on a putter. What has led you to stick with one mold?

I throw the Judge, just like in your sig. But it was a long road. I finally decided I like the feel of a bead, but not the general flight of beaded putters. They dumped too early for my style. With the feel of the bead, though, and the relatively straight flight, the Judge has been a really nice fit for me.

Be patient, and remember: Most of the time, the putter isn't the issue. It's the user.

I putt with the Neutron Ion. I love the feel of a beaded putter as well. My Ions are seasoned, and for all I know they fly like Judges. They've definitely lost some of their fade.

As onemilemore said, it's the one putting, not the putter.

I putt with whatever putter I use for driving. Since I found the wizard a few years ago, it's the only putter mold I use for drives, upshots and putts. It feels good in my hand, and I like not having different feeling putters for different shots. Inside the circle, you can make just about any putter on the market work well for you so it really comes down to feel.

i committed to wizards because i told myself i would. i didn't like them at first and they didn't work for me. now i drive much better with them, putt much better with them and approach much better too. my putting still sucks though. i'm blaming winter, but i'm kind of worried; been on a really bad streak lately.

i also like wizards because i like the idea of using a putter for years. i have several hard and somewhat slick wizards that are going to beat into beautiful things.

I'm also a liar. I use a classic judge. The why you don't need, you got one.

I tried a Voodoo SSS and it was clear that I was done searching for the right putter.

I use a Soft Focus. It has the perfect stability for me, feels great in the hand (very ergonomically) and the plastic grabs chains like it's his job.

I got me an Aviar Classic. Why? It was the only one I saw that was zero turn and zero fade. Definitely just psychological for in-the-circle putts, but that's why I picked it. It's a good putter, nice and stiff, heavy, goes in the chains. However, recently I have been experimenting with the Birdie, which I don't know if true but it at least seems to me to do well for longer putts, as well as my approach shots. I just wish they were made in champ plastic :/

One bag has an Ontario Champ Rhyno and an RGL Pure

the other has a neutron anode and neutron Ion.

They all seemed to click better for me than other molds did.

I've tried this. I drive with my Credo or Sinus. I actually liked putting with the credo however it's large diameter can cause a few misses where a regular diameter putter would drop in. Perhaps I should try it again. I do love my Credos something fierce.

I have tried probably 15 different putters. when the blend judge came out I have stuck with it. good grip in all weather and the judge mold is a great combo of glide and stability. putters come down to feel and how comfortable it is in your hand. from there it's actually practicing your putting

I just started playing around with the Lat64 Sinus for inside the circle, Zero Medium and Zero Hard. Like the low profile and overall feel.

I've seen it mentioned that you shouldn't use really overstable putters for putting but haven't seen an explanation of why, anyone know?

I may pick up a Spike next time I'm at DD to try something not quite so overstable.

I've tried Ions/Anodes, Warlocks, and Judges/Wardens but didn't really click with any of them consistently... the Sinus just feels good in my hand.

I see you have it listed in your sig, have you given it a try for putting or do you use it mostly for approaches?

I have tried putting with the Sinus. I like it a lot. Just like my Credos. Perhaps I should just stick with those.

Some friends of mine putt with pigs and rhynos so I guess that'd similar to putting with my credos.

I've used Magnets, Aviars, Ions, Anodes and even a Ching JuJu over the years, but ultimately I push putt with organic (recycled) Wizards and they make an excellent driving/approach disc as well. I like the feel to them, the bead, the color, everything.

I'm actually not sure which one I'm going to stick with for drives/approaches... the Ion and Wizard both work pretty well.
