[Innova] TL3 - Evolution of the TL

Why not just make everything flat like they used to? That is what throwers want right? Maybe they are finally listening to us.... or maybe this is what they have to do to keep their share of the market.

flat isn't always good.
i like some dome to most discs. not a huge amount, but a smooth small dome

Wait, a flatter Firebird with less glide? Would it be flatter than an FAF? What would that look like? I'd say concave, but that's not flat... Would it be possible to throw it anywhere with less glide?

I want one now.

A Flick is the answer.

Innova just pushing hard to try and make the TL relevant. If you're looking to flip I'd steer clear of these unless you get black.

I can't see how these won't overlap with something pretty bad. If they are much more stable than a standard tl they might as well be a standard g* teebird, or maybe even similar to an eagle l.

I Would rather see a slightly less stable with more glide TL than one with more stability. That mold/ disc already exists. Its called a Teebird.

i'm so on board with the 3 idea after using the Roc3 for quite a while over Roc's and my use of the Teebird3 lately.

No harm in tweaking something as long as the original is still available.

I can only imagine how slim the margins are on the engineering front with these discs.

ally odd that for the last few years everyone did nothing but complain about innova's molds getting domey so now they address it while letting us still have the original and people are still complaining... Good for innova to listen to the consumer after all this time. I see nothing wrong at all with them offering flat variants of discs that have needed them. Firebird and eagle next in jl plastic!!

Is anyone throwing the TL3??

I have never found a need for a TL, I like the EL better. However, I am a huge sucker for FAF discs, and after holding one of these, it feels amazing.
These are very riminisent of the 1st/2nd run CE Teebirds (L-molds) to me. Flat, fast, and perfect stability.

I love the GStar Teebird, and found the T3 to basically be a turd. My G* T3 is actually less stable than the TL3!

That being said, I didnt find the TL3 to be glideless. So far it really shows no turn, but doesnt have the sharp fade of the T-mold. Its like a very well seasoned TB, hell its just laser straight. It can handle serious power, and headwind. As I said, it flys like a CE TL to me, but maybe just a tiny bit slower.

I'm gonna really like pairing it w my GStar TB

I really wanted to like the FD, but the ones I have are super beef, and it just doesnt fit my grip comfortably.

The TD is a staple in my bag.

I really like this TL3 better.

Sounds like you had the flat 2nd runs. Try the new jolly launcher ones. They are money!

I threw pre-flight # TL's. Has anyone thrown those as well as the new TL3's that can compare?

For reference, the PFN's were less overstable than the newer ones.

Saw a couple G-Star discs with the proto star stamp on the shelf of my local shop... thought they were TB3's and bought them without even looking at the bottom.

Now I'm stuck with proto star TL3's. And I don't throw TL's.

First world problems.
