[Question] Longer Rhyno

Have you tried a pig? They are rhyno top, gator bottom! If you want a mix of those two, that is your disc!!

If you want less fade I think you're looking in the buzzz range. I really like the lat64 pain in this spot because it seems to have great high speed stability and a pretty moderate fade. My max weight gold line and opto fly identically. Roc3 is comparable but I felt like they lose hss too quickly.

If you want no fade you're probably looking for a Mako, Mako3 or another driving putter - Dart, Aviar, or better imo, MVP Anode or Westside Swan.

What I really want is something similar in the hand to the gator and the rhyno that has the same high speed stability as they do without all the fade. I've got a pretty good arm and snap and want something I can tug on confidentiality and no it want turn over or fade too hard left.

My seasoned rhyno is dead straight for about 250 with the just a slight fade. I want that shot but longer, the Gator will fly pseudo straight, when thrown nose down with a good bit of anhy but it's fading by about 200-225. The Cro actually covers the shot but isn't always as comfortable in my hand as the Gator and Rhyno

I would start testing lighter weight DX Rhynos and Gators then, good glide and won't dump as hard.

Not innova...and I am 70% innova and 25% Discraft but man that MVP Envy. Its a longer Rhyno
FTFY

For the OP, have you tried driving with your Ion? It drives a lot like the Envy but has the deeper rim like the Rhyno.

Actually, the Suspect recommendation is pretty good. I am a diehard Rhyno thrower and if I want more fade and a little more distance I throw the Zone, if I want more distance, but similar flight to my Champ Rhyno off the tee, I throw the Suspect. If I want even longer, I throw a max weight 10 yr anniversary Buzzz.

So you're just looking for a vanilla straight midrange with good hss and little fade. Axis, buzzz, midari, etc. If you want something a little more os then you're going obex, vector, pain, etc.

you seem to be very particular about your ranges. If you are looking for a longer putter get an envy.

Because you mention the hss, I'm going to suggest a Verdict. If you have decent snap then it won't fade a lot for you, but it will have dependable fade in all but the strongest crosswinds and the hss is there. If it's too fast or long for what you want, then the Suspect (and I've not thrown one yet, but the Harp sounds very similar to the Suspect). These are great discs, low profile and feel a lot like a Gator in hand. Very comfortable and their 0 hss rating is on the mark unlike most that will turn or flip with enough power/wind. I don't think you'll find what you want in Innova unless maybe the Shark 3 will work for you. Might also consider beating in a Zone but that's not an off the shelf solution.

Finding a disc with true 0 hss that doesn't have a big dump amount of fade is hard to do. These recent mids from DD and Westside are great.

Verdict. I use it to compliment my Roc for over-stable duties. If they ever make it in baseline plastic to cycle with I'll drop my Roc's. I throw Rhyno's a lot. You could easily call it a much longer Rhyno.

I agree that the Verdict is a longer Rhyno in flight overall, but not really in feel. I'm pretty sure it's quite a bit wider. It's also much longer than a Rhyno in my experience. It's at least 50' longer if not more for the same throw for me.

Spent about an hour at a local disc store last night manhandling plastic. Picked up a Z Hornet last night and heading to the field with that and my old FLX Drone.

I also noticed how nice the M2 from Prodigy felt in my hand, anyone have any experience with those and how they break in in the 300 plastic?

I did this with my Rhynos, I have a 165 R-Pro that has been money for upshots inside of 200'. My next option is going to be hunting down a lightweight Gator if the Hornet I picked up last night doesn't work out.

Well, I'm going to say a few things. First I almost exclusively used to approach with rhynos champ-dx. Problem was I felt that I was making the disc do work and not letting the disc do work. I approach from up to 180' out with Wardens now and have yet to have a problem with them via wind...yet. Now you asked about M2. I used to throw one when they first came out. I found it to be a great all purpose midrange, but didn't like it in premi plastic because it would skip past the destination I put it in. My driving putter is a 300s Pa1. The 300 plastic is similar to pro plastic so you'll get a longer break in time than DX. You might like the 300s M2. Finally I have a buddy who swears by DX Gators when they are slightly beat in, but the PFN different nosed ones, not the newer. I hope this info helped.

Last night I just dug through the racks looking for what felt good in the hand and kept coming up with the Drone, M1 and M2. Pretty much every mid I grabbed that I liked were meat hooks. As I mentioned going to audition the Hornet today and my old FLX Drone, if they aren't what I'm looking for then it will be M2 and lightweight DX Gator next.
