:wall:Uh, anyone see that Discmania is selling some of these on eBay? #1 is currently at $340+ http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-Europe...1224&clkid=3508579430798494827&_qi=RTM1963929
All of them are well over $100, crazy.
This will bring a lot of money toward the tournament since it isn't a "flipper" making all the money.
One thing to keep in mind, as we "grow the sport" Limited releases selling out in minutes and site crashes are going to happen much more frequently. At least the money stays with them.
the only two runs that were wonky (to my knowlege) 2nd run cPD and 2nd run cFD, and it was on innova's end that it happened...every single disc golf company has variation in molding.
meh
kind of thin.
why are people up in arms about a successful and common business tactic?
up the demand of your product while controlling/limiting the supply...
I'd say facebook auction pages/"rare"limited" disc sections in many discgolf retailer sites/etc. helped create this trend.
Because they didn't get one of these Rocs. The only people complaining about "the slow site" are the ones who lost out on getting one. They will never admit it but if they had bought one of these Rocs you would never hear from them.
Lots of people talking about stress testing and infrastructure, curious how many people actually have experience with load balancing or anything of that nature.
Testing that stuff is hard, and it isn't cheap.
way to grow the sport that kind of stuff doesn't have to happen if you distribute the product properly and have retail partners set up for success across the board.
If you had a retail company which only sold innova and discmania wouldn't you feel a little salty always being stuck with the "stock" **** no one cares about and molds up wonky?
