Hey guys!

RDG is always trying to bring unique products to the market. I've always wanted to create my own casual round bag as I'm a huge fan of condensing discs and throwing only what is needed.

We decided to team up with No Excuses Disc Golf to bring you the "Gecko" bag.
It is high end casual bag that is built to last and is feature driven. The Gecko includes:
-1000D Cordura construction
-6 to 8 disc capacity
-Neoprene drink sleeve
-zipper pouch on the front flap
-swivel hook, quck pick handle, 2" shoulder strap
-rear driver sleeve

Overall this prototype batch of bags turned out incredible. I am a fan of the Nutsac style bag model and I wanted to bring a unique flavor to that bag variety and I think RDG/NOX delivered on that desire. We will have the first batch up for sale very soon and I know that anyone looking for a killer new bag for their short courses will find a winner with the RDG Gecko bag.

Please make sure the shoulder strap is long enough to hang low. I bought one of the Legacy bags, and their strap doesn't allow the bag to sit low enough. It's incredibly frustrating because I like to put with the bag on, and I can't get it into a good spot my back to feel comfortable.

The strap is pretty long. I actually have it tightened into its highest position and it still rides about hip high.

Great news! Another great looking product, Jamie (and the rest of the RDG crew)! I'm sure it won't disappoint in use either.

Do you have a price point? I really like that it's 1000D

I'm thinking it will be $40.

I know that might put it out of range for some folks in this bag style but it is incredibly well made & has some unique features that make it a step above a lot of the casual offerings from other companies.

That looks pretty nice. Sometimes I'll use an old skateboarding backpack with 4-6 discs for short courses etc. This looks like a nice bag for those sorts of rounds.

Thanks Mike. Might be a solid bag for you to tote around when shooting RDG tester vids ;)

This looks like the perfect 'keep in the car' bag for lunchtime rounds at the local 9-holer. $40 isn't too much if it's well made and fills a need. Will a Scale fit in the back pocket?

They do actually! The bag closes better though if a driver is stashed back there. I'll get some better pics up this evening showing off all the features but I wanted to show them off now :)

I just ordered a Nutsac yesterday actually and one feature missing from that bag is the quick pick handle which I think would be very nice. Can't quite tell from the pics but is the shoulder strap removable?

$30 would be a must buy for me but I'm sure it will be worth every penny at $40. I'll be keeping my eye on the RDG site.

So that's basically a Nutsac with a quick grab handle, legit valuables pocket, and an actually functional drink holder? For $40? Definitely a solid bargain; I really dig the looks too. If I didn't have a Nutsac 2.0, I'd definitely be buying one...I probably still will lol. I would definitely say that the bag fills a need; great product!

I kind-of wish I had waited on my Nutsac purchase although for this type of bag I wasn't sure if I wanted an attached drink holder. I'm going to see how clipping a bottle on the strap with a carabiner of some sort works out on those days when I play a longer course or it's really hot out. The car is never too far away so I'm not too worried about it.

Guess I will just have to buy the Gecko and compare. :)

I use a carabiner and a 750 ml Camelbak and it works alright, but I do wish the bag actually had a drink holder like the Gecko will. I also put my keys on the carabiner and my wallet and phone in the putter pocket with my putter, but again, I'd rather have a little pocket like the Gecko does.

Wow, I think I'm talking myself into buying the Gecko

Yeah I've always liked the concept of a Nutsac, it was just a touch too minimal for my taste. That's why I like this bag from what I've seen. Adds just the right amount of features with no fluff.

Here's a little video that I did this morning walking you through the Gecko

Pardon the poor quality. It's my first video and I just used my ipad. Time to invest in a decent camera.

I spent a lot of time with the Gecko yesterday and I will say I am really enjoying it as my casual bag. One unique feature of the bag is that it will stand on it own. The bottle holder gives it enough stability to remain upright on tables, the ground, etc. I also really like that I can carry a distance driver in the back sleeve without it interrupting my 5-6 disc core. I don't often throw distance drivers but they're fun to throw on those "driving range" holes.

I've got a few listed for purchase over at reptiliandiscgolf.com :)
I cannot wait to hear what folks think of these.

RDG always has a way of testing my allegiance with the discs I throw, and now they're doing the same with the bags I use. That's a great-looking bag, Jamie! Can't wait to see one in person!

I would love to see one of those with 2 water bottle holders, me personally I like to drink alot when i play :)

Ordered one today and a couple putters, can't wait. I actually came to the forums looking for a low qty disc bag that hopefully stands on its own so this should fit the bill.

Although I gotta say, put 2 water bottle holders on another version and I will buy that too. Sure .5 L water bottles are great for a quick game over lunch, but in those hot summer months for a bit longer time out where you still just want a few discs, keeping hydrated is still important. And I drink a lot (of water). A key keeper strand with ring would be good too.
