"Colossus is a 14 speed driver. Although it has a wide rim, it is also relatively easy to hold and throw both backhand and forehand. The flight numbers are 14, 5, -2, 3 for GStar and Star, and 14, 5, -1, 3 for Champion. If you've wanted to throw a really fast driver, but couldn't quite handle the wide rim, try the Colossus." - by Innova Discs

Sounds like half a dozen other wide-rimmed Innova drivers. I stopped paying attention after the Vulcan.
This. I feel like they're just trying to fill their flight chart to unnecessary extremes. I mean, whatever works works I suppose, but I feel like they're just running out of ideas. I love the Innova I throw, but it seems like all of their new stuff recently is pretty meh.
My feelings exactly, just a lot of duplication with the high speed stuff. Meanwhile they're only doing variants of existing molds for "new" fairway drivers and mids?
Well to be fair, it is not like they have many holes in the lineup and if they did not ever put out anything new, they would fall behind other companies. I do think they put out too many new molds but none at all would be a bad business mistake.

Agreed. Innova wants a Speed 14 disc to fill that niche and also to compete with the Dynamic Discs Freedom.
I also agree that they could pace themselves, spread out the releases a little bit, especially with the "3" and "V" discs. But hey! that's what they do: feed us discs.
I know you would agree there have been some gems from Innova though in the last few years. If it takes five new releases for every Thunderbird or Colt(which I don't personally throw but has obviously been well received), then so be it.
Too bad Innova doesn't do ace race events, a Colossus ace race would have been epic.
Along with a fellow teammate, we ran a two disc event last Summer which was super fun. One Innova disc and one Discmania disc. I will keep the Colossus in mind... We would like to streamline this into a larger scale event, that is the ultimate goal anyway. Paul and Nate ran a ton of them as well along their tour last season!
That's a really good idea, but I was actually joking about the Colossus -- just thought it would be entertaining seeing them dive bombing / spike hyzering / skipping all over the place.
Ha, I was kind of hoping that was the case! However, offering a great new disc like the Colossus would help attendance.
well soft discs flex more and cause flutter from the oblongationism of the lift momentum off axis circle spinning and turns the disc into a substance which is no longer solid that starts to melt in mid air causing the flight to be unrepeatable given any same throw due to liquidification of the flight plate and rim polymers only for a moment upon the hit of a throw which makes for less overall stability in the players mind body and soul.
It's all science bro
R-pro colossus
The plastic has nothing to do with glide. My guess is that you got some flatter discs.
Yeah, because baseline doesn't glide better than translucent [champ] style premium plastic. You're definitely correct.
