I support equal opportunity swimming.

Oh good, than you realize what you wrote was horse pucky. For trying to do something for under privileged youths, the PDGA marketing director who allowed poor kids into the pool at the private facility was labeled by a bunch of jerks. The membership of the facility didn't like his generosity and told him to get rid of the kids he was helping. If I recall, he stood his ground. The miscreants, some of whom belonged to the PDGA, that tried to make him look racist, were donkey holes.

Gotta build a Brand worth selling. It feels like that is what is going on. The DGPT is a bigger brand than the National Tour has ever been. Just look at the differences in websites. The DGPT looks like a brand.

are you trying to say the DGPT has a good website and social media presence? LOL!

seriously from the logo to the lack of promotion.. ROFL!

DiscTV produced a TV show that aired on some foxsportsnet affiliates in 2002. PDGA had nothing to do with it. And to say top of the line video work...LOL

MSDGC DVDs wern't the first, but they were WAY better than the other offerings at the time

Also he has gone out and hired smashboxx....and also paid for more cameramen, for Jamie thomas and others to fly in and do live coverage, and put video coverage as a priority when choosing DGPT courses and locations.

basically did steve do it all? no. has he pushed the sport forward? yep

Gonna have to disagree, I have the DVDs. I remember Disc TV. I didn't know Steve started them?

Do you only provide negative/contrarian commentary? I would assume you hate this sport by now.

DGPT already provides more content than the PDGA. It will take more time to refine it, the website has already been updated again as of this week. They are BUILDING a brand, its far form done.

Seriously dude. You act like you know a lot but you just crap on everything. Get a better view on life.

Lol im keeping it real not living a fantasy.

People don't even know when dgpt events are going on. Whatever... Why are you so invested in A lost cause?! I expected better from you honestly.

You have become the random cheerleader for organized DGBS

Hmmm, the US Department of Justice seems to have a different take than yours, Lyle:

So Lyle, you were saying that the PDGA Marketing Director was labeled by a bunch of jerks? When in reality the PDGA Marketing Director's club ponied up $1,460,000 to settle the DOJ's civil rights lawsuit?

Care to label yourself as a donkey hole? The facts kinda make you look like one.

When we have active disc golfers openly ****ting on people trying to change the sport it leaves a pretty sour taste. So as long as you keep talking big, I'll keep replying. Because I expect better out of myself. Ever optimistic.

Regardless of how this shakes out, Paul McBeth was still really quick to jump to Dodge's side. That has to say something about the PDGA, right?

I'm a PDGA member. I'm on this site regularly. I have no idea what events are DGPT. I consider myself significantly more informed than your average disc golfer (not one disc chucker, but average disc golfer who plays weekly doubles and a few sanctioned events). DGPT still has a long way to go before most anyone even notices that they are a thing.

It only shows that paul felt that he should pick ground to stand on. Unfortunately paul with all his Internet soical media power could not use it(the internet) to see how the pdga handles its disciplinary actions. I understand paul wanted more but how the pdga handled things the way that its written. In order to see those ways was just a click away. Not that its what he wanted but should the pdga have to bow to the will of paul or anyone else? No! If people want change stand up make it known and volunteer to be a board member and make it that way!

I have a question, for those advocating that the PDGA get out of the "pro" business and only serve ams.

How are you defining "pro"?

The PDGA division guidelines? Your local 960-rated "pros", or low-900s older pros? Your local or regional 1000-rated players? Is the DGPT going to serve all these folks?

Or are we really just talking about Touring Pros, the top dozen or two dozen players?

I'm totally fine with the NT dying a natural death and the DGPT taking over as the primary tour for the top pros.

But we still have a lot of locals who play pro who are never going to follow the PT around the country. We still want to hold high quality A-tier events with large payouts. We still want to have a local points series based around PDGA events. Even if the PDGA drops the NT and the top 20-30 pros all follow the PT, there will still be a lot of pros looking for other PDGA events every weekend.

FWIW I pay over $1k/year to associations which I need just to do work. I don't expect **** from them personally but realize the point of what is being done internally. I don't agree with all of where my $ goes but regardless they need me and I need the designations so we all make it happen. My life is great, thanks!

Pretty normal for the real world. Like HOA etc. These dudes are acting like clowns all across the board.

This little tempest in a teapot might have been the most publicity they got all year, just in time for everyone to pay attention to them this weekend.

I'm not sure a lesson was taught or learned with this, but I do believe it opened up a necessary conversation. Maybe another tour management system is necessary to ensure that the PDGA is properly staffed and present at HQ...

In Paul's defense, internet beyond Facebook, etc... it pretty difficult when your living out of a van crossing the country.

Is DGPT the totally unorganized one with the rules that are only half-baked and the promises of being on ESPN? Or is it the one run by Jussi as the Next Big Thing? I get them confused.
